Fletcher Substrate Cutter
Please forgive the sales pitch language tailored to eBay users, at whom this advert is primarily targeted, but in case you haven't seen it, here's a heads up. FF members will be familiar with the FSC, I imagine. There are photos with the eBay listing; here are the words: The machine offered for auct...

Fletcher Substrate Cutter (FSC) For Sale
I no longer have space for my Fletcher Substrate Cutter and am interested in reasonable offers to purchase. This would preferably be to collect, observe and/or assist dismantle (so as to know how to reassemble) & carry away - and pay, of course - Paypal or cash. See http://framingsupplies.com/Si...

Re: Stretchin a long thin canvas
I agree with all Prospero's points. If the canvas had been stretched prior to painting, it should show the folds of the canvas virtually in 3-D, where it was folded around & attached to stretcher bars. If this is the case and the size is standard size, stretcher bars the same size should allow t...

Re: Stretchin a long thin canvas
Unhelpful response: stretch the canvas before painting. How was the canvas painted if it wasn't on a stretcher? Or have I misunderstood something? Assuming its already painted, treat gently to avoid paint surface cracking. There are canvas stretching pliars but i'd tend to avoid these on a pre-paint...

Re: hex head bolts on square edge sides
Thanks for Morso link - here's the reply from Denmark: Hello, Thank you for your e-mail. Your machine is from 1973 and I am afraid that we do not have the drawings of the machine that shows the size of the bolts, so I cannot tell you the size of the bolts. I regret that I cannot help you. Med venlig...

Re: hex head bolts on square edge sides
Thanks for helpful responses. I'm using WD40 & will get splash out on some fag papers for the spacing. Maybe my question was too complicated. Essentially it is what size are the hex bolt heads? Mine are certainly not 5mm though they look not very far off 5mm, and even though Lion advertise a 5mm...

hex head bolts on square edge sides
I have a mature Morso (14019) and have needed to fine adjust the two square edged fixed bottom blades. The hex bolts are seized or very tight and cheapo allen keys couldn't shift them. I saw Lion were advertising a special long Allen key, 5mm x 230mm - actually out of stock - but I found another sou...

Ultimat/Gold
Can someone with experience of both tell me what, if any, advantage there might be in the functionality of the 'Gold' versions over the plain 'Ultimat' mat cutters? Thanks for any help & advice.

Keencut manual wanted
Hi All - I'd appreciate help with a manual for the obsolete keencut mat cutter (bought second hand) shown in the attached jpg. A PDF would be great or a photocopy which I would be happy to pay for. It may be that the user operations haven't changed much for later models in which case a manual for a ...

Re: Morso F spare parts
I am very appreciative of the three replies to the question I posted - thanks to you all. I am also generally impressed with the standard of information on the forum - there are clearly some big players as well as some one-person bands contributing which makes the generosity of the advice offered al...

Morso F spare parts
Can anyone suggest where I might be able to purchase some Morso F spare parts? 1. moving bite adjustment arm, 2. black plastic long armed top for a fence adjuster 3. rebate support adjusters? I've just acquired a very old machine which I'm trying to coax back into life. I wonder if Morso Fs ever get...
