Re: HELP! I'm Looking for this moulding

I think Mainline do a similar one in Polcore,
I was looking for the larger version a while ago, which I got direct from Lopez in the end.

Re: Arqadia Moulding 735 101 000

Got sorted with the Mainline mouldings number. I can recommend this company who I hadn't come across before - the website was modern, easy to use and to see the range, they got a sample to me dead quick, did me the box price on 24m ...

Re: Spring Fair 2010

... range. I like the darker silvers in this range. Simons have added to their range of Emafil mouldings and I'm gonna try a few of those too! Mainline have some nice additions to their Polcore range which I liked too! For me it was well worth the 500 mile round trip.

Re: Spring Fair 2010

... is a real buzz in the hall which is has been lacking in recent years. Some of the missing suppliers have already said they will return next year. Mainline will be back next year so long as Art & Framing is in the same hall.

Re: Perspex domes for sports memorabilia

... people can't visualise how it will look. The ones we have used fit a boxing glove or a boot with a plaque or photo perfectly. We got them from our Mainline rep. not sure if they all carry them but I expect they will. I also seem to remember seeing a flier from Lion saying they have started to stock ...

Mouldings for stacking & hand finishing.

... finish of my choice over that. This method was first suggested on this forum by Prospero. (Thanks for the tip Peter!) On the same subject, our new Mainline rep popped in this week and showed me a new range of some very nice art-deco style polcore mouldings with multiple stepped scoops. To be honest, ...

Re: Favorite mouldings for ready made frames

... the last two stains are also limed and we also make gold and silver sight edges with mount fillets - the tiny ones that Arqadia, Nielsen and Mainline (probably others) do - they look great when combined with a mat with an exact matching fillet. That gives us 96 different styles. (Check maths ...

Re: Am I one of those?

... deal with and not any differant to any other supplier. Arquadia is also very good as is lopez although i wish they had a uk distribution centre, mainline is first class as well but the choices are their for everyone to make up their own mind......Suck it and see!

Re: Polcore

... is much more hard-wearing than an equivalent wood moulding (particularly noticeable in the plain flat gold/silvers. I've always used the glue from Mainline (make sure you keep a copy of the COSH leaflet in your H & S file), although it seems expensive for the amount you actually get - you really ...

Re: Polcore

Thanks for your replies, I have some samples on the way from Mainline Mouldings. I'm no Framing Snob, but wouldn't have touched plastic mouldings in the past, but they seem to have come up in the world. I'm a loyal customer of DJ Simons for more than 10 ...

Re: Polcore

Don't use Polcore much these days as I rarely could make up a minimum order with Mainline mouldings but it is OK if you choose the right profiles with the flat ones being the best to join neatly. I think Wessex are finding their way with Polcore and our local branch ...

Polcore

... up a few free samples of Polcore while I was at Wessex Pictures the other day, its the first time I've come across it. Wessex are a bit pricey, Mainline Mouldings would seem to be the best supplier, but you need to place quite a big order. When I searched this forum it would seem that there ...
