It would be a fun project to do but the time saved in buying one from gold leaf supplies is money well spent in my honest opinion.Steve has some good stuff on there for budding gilders.

I have just managed to get another 400 moulds as part of a huge collection that sold in days. I think there were 4000 in total. We're always on the lookout so thanks for keeping me posted.

I did thanks. These are pitch moulds and we're on the lookout for boxwood moulds. Pitch can deteriorate over it's whole life. They've also been a bit overpriced for what the are but sincere thanks for the heads up.

We are looking to add to our collection of Victorian boxwood moulds collection so asking if anyone knows of any anywhere.
They're quite rare but do pop up sometimes. Thanks.

Looks like woodworm beetles. Get it wrapped in plastic until you can treat it. The last thing you'll want is beetles laying eggs in your good stock.

Hi Matt. The electrics comment is linked to rising utility costs. Some of the machines run all day sometimes and can drain power. I should have said that I bought a moretens four sided planer.
