Robin C said " I was the 7th person to pass the GCF so my number is GCF 007" As all the ex military members out there can vouch for, your last 3 digits of your service number are the the ones that are often requested. My dad had the rather enviable 007 as his last three and his mates came ...

I've been with Plusnet for the last 5 years. They give you the fastest connection that your exchange can handle. I'm fortunate to have 8 meg and have never been bumped off. I currently pay £14:99 a month. I know there are slightly cheaper tariffs out there but figure that the service I receive is wo...

Yeah, there ain't nothin' like a good can of wine. When I said there isn't any bad wine out there any more, I obviously neglected certain aspects of the American market. Most Brits won't have heard of 'Two Buck Chuck' but he's a real phenomenon in the wine world. His super value wines massively out...

Welcome to the world of fine wine. Chateauneuf was the wine that really got me into trying the mid ranged and more expensive wines. The best way to try out wines is to join a wine club or order from a company like Laithwaites who I use regularily. They offer decent wine at a reasonable price which w...

Woodworm walks in to the pub and asks " Where's the bar tender?"

Sorry, I should have resisted but I'm weak.

I was so excited to get a ZX80, then ZX81. Then came the massive jump up to the mighty 48K Spectrum. This became my 'Elite' playing machine for many years, even when I'd got an Amiga 512 followed by the 1200 and eventually a full blown PC. I'm now using a £2500 pound top of the range machine. Howeve...

I've been very happy with the Mr.Site format as it's wizard driven and needs no previous programming knowledge. My site was up and running in a day and I tweak and change it every week or so. You can add a paypal basket for e commerce if you so wish. I just sell gift vouchers at the moment. The site...

Are you thinking of designing your web site yourself or getting someone to do it for you? I used Mr. Site which cost £35 and included the first years hosting. It works out about the same for subsequent years. http://www.mrsite.co.uk/ You can see mine at: http://www.martinchadwickphotography.com/ A g...

It's been conservatively valued by the specialists at Jolly Good Framers at somewhere in the region of tuppence.

I don't get this competition thing at all. Is the image on paper or canvas? A paper print of the Hendrix print retails at £176:25 (17"x17"). A canvas retails up to £375:00 (30"x30") Seems rather extravagant, did you have to pay an entry fee? The images aren't to my taste either. ...

I always use Hotpress' clear mounting film onto their clay covered white display board. If the photograph has a lot of white in it, use their white mounting film. I can't recommend the Hotpress training courses enough. I've been using presses for years and Steve Goodall demonstrated so many more app...

Wales vs Australia was a highly entertaining game although, as I feared, we lost.

We've just got to beat South Africa in the quarters instead of England.

The plus side is that the Aussies get to play England which should be interesting.

Get the image face mounted to perspex.

There's a few companies who specialise in this sort of thing.

I can't believe I've recommended them twice this week on this forum. Must look into getting a good discount with them.

George

157cm X45cm, that's a substantial print.

I don't think you'll get it much cheaper anwhere else.

Try

They're supposed to be mounting specialists but I haven't used them myself.

Just got a quote from John Jones - in the region of £200.

What size is the print you've got?

I've only had two of my images mounted onto aluminium and then floated them inside a frame.

I must say, they look the canines genitals.
