I wouldn't worry too much about the scale. It is not rocket science to measure the back of the moulding with digital calipers, double the readout and add on the the rebate length you need. Even the main scale can be replaced by a engineer's steel rule, simply stuck on. As long as the cutting action...

Ok before I buy a morso underpinner that a friends late father has for sale has anyone got anything for sale reasonably local to me..?.. its a new venture but need to produce 60 to 70 frames a week so not really hobbyist. Thanks again for your reply Steve, that's not the machine I have. Mine has a different blade cahnging system to that and to me if you leave the blade out longer it changes the angle slightly but does seem to overcut more when using the stops.... a friends got a fletcher 2100 for sale which is slight...

I quite agree... it became obsolete 22 years ago!
Works great still but has an issue with Daler!
I've been using it 27 years and it was second hand then..
It must be like me cheap......

Ok I've started using Daler for mounts rather than my usual budget type board and Im finding it a massive pain to cut... my mount cutter is a very old keencut has no depth of cut adjustment and the blade takes two passes or doesn't even cut through the board at all! It seems the thickness of the boa...

The lack of replies seems to suggest not alot of people have had experience with them.....

Quite right David... to be fair as long as I can get the blades I know people who can make anything.....

Spoke to Keencut and as before very helpful.... the system 4000 all parts un available except blades and possible cutting wheels.... bearings un available.... bit of a risk but ive been offered one for £100.....

The last time i spoke to them about a part for my old mount cutter they told me my mount cutter was obselete 22 years ago.... They were very helpful.
Still going well but patched up a bit.....

Are spare blades etc still available for this machine?
Ive just found one at a resonable price and making sure I can get spares.
