advert

I've bought a 1/2 page advert in a programme for a local car show.
1 frame will pay for it, so not a big investment.
I've got a picture of a racing car print that I framed so I'll include that.
Any suggestions for what else to include, special offer etc?

Re: Getting images printed

I realise that. They have come from glass slides that are over 100 years old so I'll need to check what process was used and if the resolution can be improved. I plan on offering them for sale ready framed from the website, and perhaps offer a few to local shops / cafes etc to display and sell. I'm ...

Getting images printed

I've got a number of historical images from around our town and I'm looking to get them printed and then sell complete with frame.
Images are approx 1500 x 1000 pixels and around 1.2mb.
Any ideas about the best way to go about printing these and what kind of print would work best?

Inmes Wedges available

Hi folks, I have 3 boxes of Inmes Wedges.
2 red, 1 yellow.
Red is missing 1 stick, so there are 15 sticks in total.
Yellow is missing 1 stick, and another is 1/2 full so there are 6.5 sticks.
Free to a good home if someone is passing Stonehouse.

Framing artwork without mounts

I've got a customer who is sure that she doesn't want any mounts.
If I'm going to use glass, what options are there and what looks best?
Are the Frametek spacers available in the UK?

Re: Morso F help

Thanks guys, I've changed blades a few times so no worries there.
Main reason I'm interested is I've been taking a chunk out the bottom corner of the moulding recently and feel that I should really explore it a bit so I know what's what, although I've seen that this is quite a common problem.

Morso F help

I've got newly sharpened blades to put on my Morso F and I was hoping to have a good look at how it is set up / adjusted. Is there an e-manual going about or I've seen someone mention a video?

Promotional video

I've just had a video done, purely shameless promotion, i.e. not meant to be a how-to on framing.

Re: Cassesse CS88 for sale - central Scotland

Hi, the CS88 is still for sale and it is working fine. I have upgraded to a pneumatic underpinner so I'm wanting to move this one on.
It is in good condition, as good as when I got it.
You are welcome to come and have a look or I could take photos.

Re: Website hosting advice

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread  As well as picture framing I dabble in designing websites and I provide a bespoke website for a good price (a bit like my framing!) Have a look at http://www.thepictureframerml.co.uk I have a few thoughts: first of all I think some kind of web presence is ...

Re: Newbie (Scotland)

Hi Photoshotts and welcome.
I've got a Cassesse CS88 which I can give you for £300. I'm in Lanarkshire so fairly close.
Another option is I could do all your framing for you for a special price ;)

Re: Ideas for framing a rally plate...

Here's my finished effort. The customer was chuffed with the result. I think the chequered fabric would have set it off nicely peeking out from the back, but there was a tight deadline unfortunately. I'll maybe buy some to have ready. I used the registration screw caps which I think looks better tha...

Re: last cut....help

Here's my input for what it's worth. I was getting quite bad chunks coming off. I spent a while having a good look at what was happening and my conclusions are that some were worse than others. There was also a bit of a problem with a slight gap between the blade and the base (someone else mentioned...

As no-one seems to have a spare, I'll probably just chuck this one.
Does anyone want it for spares?

Re: Ideas for framing a rally plate...

That's a great idea Newie, but I couldn't find any chequered fabric today, so I think I'll need to do without this time.
