There are many "Floater Frames" available from various manufacturers. Recheck you searching with that title and you might be more successful in your search.

Re: Advice on how to stop my frames pulling apart when pinne
The way I was taught years ago to cut with a manual mount cutter to achieve a "perfect cut" was to always undercut (.5mm) and then use an old fashion double edged "blue blade" razor blade to cut the rest of the way. Allowing the blade to conform to the angle by itself and then a ...

Re: wages for mountcutters
My comment would be the same as Robo's............. get a CMC and let the rest of the workroom staff cut the mats.
A CMC:
is always on time
doesn't take breaks
doesn't talk back (most of the time)
is faster on complicated jobs
doesn't require vacation

Re: Turpentine /White Spirit??
In the US the accepted formula for a glass cutter lubricant is 50% kerosene and 50% light oil(sewing machine oil etc).
Turpentine has too much residual gums that will clog everything up.

Re: Help with bulk contract framing in UK
I think it would be better to add some part time "seasonal help". Framing with ready made frames is not rocket science. This is just what the big retailers and package shipping companies do. BTW I just looked at your website. I think it is a bit tacky to lock all your links due to the seas...

Re: Electricity supplier came round and changed my meter
I have had the natural gas meter replaced twice in the last 14 years. I think that they think that I have tampered with the meter to reduce my reported consumption. I have reduced my consumption; but, I have not tampered with the meter. I have just set back the thermostat more than I used to set it ...

Not to be negative; but, have you asked the hospital who's specifications you are trying to fill where they have seen such a product in the size they are requesting? I think it might be in their hands to find such a product.

Greg Fremstad used to have a 5 pound bag of flour hanging on a wall of his trade show booth attached with 2 mulberry paper hinges and wheat paste. A very impressive display of the strength of wheat paste and paper hinges.

We have used Crescent Matboard products for well over 40 years. Their factory has been in the Chicago for over 100 years. Re: Compressor inspections
Unless your tank has inspection ports for arms and or a body I do not think there is much to bother with. Most of the regulations are for high pressure tanks (welding gasses, SCUBA, boilers, etc) and or large tanks over 36" in diameter.

Re: Compressor inspections
I have never heard of an "insurance inspection" for an air compressor.
I do however inspect my compressor every 90 days to check the belt and the oil level and condition. Water is drained almost daily from the tank and the several water traps.

Re: Morso blade sharpening
It all depends on the composition of the moulding. Softwood - Hardwood - Old fashioned compo - New synthetic compo. The more abrasive the moulding the sooner the blades have to be sharpened. As for the blades life - it depends on how much the sharpening company takes off each time they do a set. The...
