Keencut System 4000 - CHEAP as chips

Another giveaway My Keencut 4000, needs some TLC since moving over to the new workshop. It has served me very well, and comes with a new MDF cutting head, but will need some love. As i had low ceiling i had to remove the extendable legs and prop it up, i have one of the metal legs but the other has ...

Bambi Silent Compressor - FREE - Needs Reair

Morning All, Happy Happy Friday  I'm giving away an 'older' model Bambi Silent Compressor (March 1987) now it was working beautifully, until recent when the gasket has decided to let go. I was going to repair it but time constraints are restricting me and really I would like it to go to someon...

Wessex Or Estlite

Hi All, I can see this has been covered so many times, but given the significant cost difference can anyone advise what the difference is between the Wessex Pricing Programme and the software offered by ESTlite.. Its time i got a pricing programme rather than depending on the grey matter and an exce...

Re: Under pinner wanted midlands ish !

Hi, no there's no adjustment on this underpinner unfortunately, you mean the adjustable gates found on Alfamacchine's. The cuts have to be good, really good or the gaps will show. I found practise makes perfect between the Morso and the underpinner. The adjustment has to be made on the morso to get ...

Re: Under pinner wanted midlands ish !

Hi, I use the Morso underpinner as a backup for my Alfamacchine 44. Its ok for the small framer but if your planning on knocking out large quantities, i would look for a more robust model, possibly pneumatic. The foot pedal on the more is weak and tends to bend around the piston joints, I have had t...

Re: Mount Cardboard

I still thing we are wrong to doubt what the customer wants. he has come into your workshop and asked that you stick the item down onto a board and I still believe that is what you should do. For reversibility use a wheat or rice based starch adhesive, but I wouldn't be going against what the custo...

Re: Mount Cardboard

Yes, use some wet glue :D A good conservation glue (or even wheat starch paste if you fancy 8) ) will hold it well without the risk of it being crushed under rollers. Some weights will be needed while it dries such as heavy books used with some foam or similar. I always have a bottle of Evacon-R ha...

Re: Mount Cardboard

If the customer says glue it then that is what you should do. Yes but, it doesn't feel like the right thing to do at all, they have chosen quite a bright board and should they wish to ever change it ... i would rather it was semi/fully reversible, rather than risk damaging it should they want it re...

Mount Cardboard

Hi all, Hoping you can bring me out the head fog I have got myself into. I have a roughly torn cardboard piece to frame. Customer has asked for it to be glued to the soundboard but I'm a little hesitant to do this. Can the collective suggest a better way? I was thinking dry cold mount but worried it...
