thanks Robo, pictures and diagrams are so much easier for me to understand, think I might look into pocket hole jigs they look they could be really handy. When you used the two frames back to back how did you attach the front moulding?

Thanks for you response folks much appriciated. I am struggling to either visulise or find the correct moulding or plain strip wood in the right dimensions. Ricky your diagram is incredible helpful, any idea where I can get plain strips of wood that are the average width of rebate 5-7mm but 9cm tall...

stackable box frame moulding

Has anyone got experience of using these types of framebox mouldings that you can stack on top of each other? The idea being that you can use any regular moulding on top of them. I am struggling to cut 9cm tall moulding on the morso as I do not have the special fences for them, they keep splitting a...

lol, sorry, depends on price both last quite a long time, for me anyway I usually buy a single from wessex

ph7 at 8.80 and cotton rag at 10.00 but i know framing suppliers are not always the cheapest, just purchsed 50 rolls of sekisui tape from elstwhere on a recommendations from Grays.

ah yes good idea David. So am I right in thinking that you have 2 complete long lenghts there and the shorter pieces that are glues between the long lenghts?
