Keencut Futura (Ultimat upgraded)
I've just taken delivery of my Futura upgrade for the Keencut Ultimat Gold after a little play on one at the Spring Fair, having putting up with my wobbly Ultimat for too long. Very simple procedure to switch between the two cutter arms however on attaching the new Futura arm it is very apparent tha...

Re: O/S Custom Made Maps
Hi Andy I felt your pain a day or two before Christmas. Had a customer in who was delighted I could get a rush job in before the big day as a last minute present for someone. Exactly the same problem with the exact same heat press!!! All detail very slightly blurred - but on something as finely deta...

Frame identification???
Hi I am trying to identify the following moulding. Does anyone have any idea where I can find it? It is a very matt black with a flat profile measuring 36mmx23mm. The upper front and back edges have a slim silver edging. Thanks in advance http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t113/EdmondFruitini/IMAG04...

Left-hand Morso Rebate Support
Whilst changing my morso blades last week a failed to realise that one of the supports had taken an untimely dive into the waste bin and has since been sent to the tip. Doh! :Slap: A long shot but does anyone have a left hand rebate support for the morso spare that they would be willing to sell me??...

Re: Frame identification
Have you got a code for the Arqadia one please Robo? I had a look through the catalogue but could only find the small version. The frame i've been asked to match is highly scratched "to buggery " - anyone bought any recently and know which supplier is selling the scratchy stuff. Thanks.

Re: Frame identification
Its 4cm wide by 1.5 cm deep. Do you have a code as I don't have a catologue handy.
It's neither of those Wessex mouldings, but thanks for your suggestion.

Hi
Can anybody help me identify this frame? It has a very slight cushioned profile and is highly scratched with red scratches on the centre and black scratches towards the edges.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How Often do you Resharpen your Morso Blades?
Hi John Ours get done about every 2-3 weeks. Nothing nicer than using a set of freshly sharpened blades! We started off getting them done at a local joinery company in their sharpening shop, before realising they were flat grinding them and rather generously at that giving a much shorter life span t...

The reason the question came up was in trying to obtain prices when a frame wasn't involved - single mount cut, mount and back, mount/back/wrap. We do quite a lot of mount work only and to price these in Est would be ideal. Would it make sense to drop the min amounts for mounting quite low and recov...

Pricing options
I have recently downloaded the Estlite trial and think i may have found the software to finally end my pricing nightmares! However I have a couple of questions regarding the pricing options. The "Min" price value added to all processes is puzzling me. I understand that the figure is used w...

Thanks very much for all of your thoughts. The spliced foamcore idea seems very sensible, thanks Robo for the direction to the flag thread - very helpful. How would you go about splicing a piece of foamboard that size? Much too big for the mountcutter. A handheld device? I have checked with glass an...

A "Large" Problem
Long time lurker, first time poster seeking advice. I have been asked to quote to frame a woodcut print printed on 4 seperate pieces of paper (940x1230) which when laid out create a very large image of about 1880 by 2460 (8'x6'). The customer has asked that i trim the joining edges so that it gives ...
