Re: Plate mounting

This is from the V&A Museum's website: Mounts for ceramics Mounts are often used to show decorative ceramics that are in good condition but they aren't always suitable for cracked or restored pieces. Mounts need to be the right size for the piece - if they are too tight they can chip the edges, ...

Re: Is there a way to remove a scratch from glass?

I appreciate that you are short of space, but in my old workshop I used an A0 size drawing b...

:Slap: I hadn't thought of that, I was thinking more along the lines of aesthetics! I'll blame it on the clocks going back (which we had completely forgotten about!).

Re: Float Mount Record Sleeve - Simple Method

Simple and effective. Would you normally use Melinex straps for this method, or use something contrasting (as in the photo)?

Re: Variation on a theme

I have to say that, not for the first time, I prefer IFGL's effort. Mind you, I never have been a fan of dark brown frames with a gse. IFGL's choice of mount and frame is more modern/understated, and compliments the colours in the picture. But then I guess it is somewhat down to personal preference ...

A great improvement, well done! Quick to load and easy to navigate. I agree with the previous comments regarding the darkness of the site, but this just illustrates the difference in taste from one country to the next.
