WANTED - Casssese CS79 CS88 or similar

Hi

I'm after a second hand Cassese manual underpinner, either CS79 or CS88 for preference, but other foot-operated underpinners with similar characteristics could also be considered.

PM me or leave a message here...

Many thanks

Obscure? moulding

At a friend's house recently, I commented upon a frame they'd had done some years ago in Wiltshire somewhere (they're in Yorkshire now), because I didn't recognise the moulding. I said that I thought it looked rather good, and wouldn't mind getting my hands on a few lengths. I should, with hindsight...

Re: Help - Large format (A3+ min) scanner

Thanks for all the responses chaps - we'd already tried the 'multiple A4 scan' route, but as anything larger than A4 doesn't sit flat on the bed of my Canoscan scanner (there's about a 0.5mm lip arounf the actual glass), we were losing some resolution right at the edges. I did suggest cutting up the...

Keencut Ultimat Gold to Futura UPGRADE

Hi - anyone actually upgraded their Ultimat Gold to a Futura? I've just purchased a 'nearly new' 62" Ultimat Gold, and since I got a good deal, was wondering whether it's really worth the additional three or four hundred quid to upgrade? I've used a 48" Ultimat Gold for years without a pro...

Help - Large format (A3+ min) scanner

Hi A friend has asked me if I know of anyone with a large format scanner in the East/North Yorks area, but I don't, so I thought I'd ask you good folks! I *think* he needs A3+, but I won't know for sure until tomorrow, since I'm (...what's the opposite of 'sunning'?...) myself in the Lake District t...

Re: Does anyone still use a fax machine?

Whenever I'm asked for a fax number on any web registration page, I always put 'Sorry - didn't do history at school, what's a fax ?' :)

I don't have a telex machine, a morse telegraph, or a rotary dial analogue telephone either.......

Re: Picture Framer

I responded to Andy's post back in November, and since then have been passing what seems like my entire life history backwards and forwards to the Australian immigration service. As my 457 visa was granted on Friday, and flight booked yesterday, I'm now feeling comfortable enough to 'let the cat out...

Re: wedges for cassese

From what I've read, the Cassese wedges are designed to pull the moulding together as they're inserted, thus giving a tighter fitting join. Since I, being perfect, always cut my mitres at exactly 45 degrees, this has never been an issue :D In all seriousness, I've not noticed any difference in the j...

Re: wedges for cassese

I do Mikey - and have done for over three years, for exactly the same reason as you're proposing (ie I could buy 'em from Lion). I also appreciate that the genuine Casesse wedges are engineered slightly differently, but since I always glue my joints as well as nailing them, I've never had an issue. ...

Re: 101 uses for a dead Morso

I don't mind 'sniping' if the 'shooter' is genuine, and pays up - that's all part of the game....it's when they do it deliberately with no intention of ever paying for an item that it becomes a nuisance. Also, as it's apparently impossible now (on Ebay) to leave negative or even neutral feedback for...

Re: 101 uses for a dead Morso

To get the full picture of how an auction performed on EBay you need to see click the option to reveal the automatic bids, since all you need to do when bidding is to enter the highest price you're willing to pay at the start, and their systems will automatically place the lowest 'high bid' possible...

A Merry Hogmanay to everyone! I'm suitably kilted for the occasion, and if all goes according to plan, 2012 will be 9 hours shorter (for me) than 2011!

Cheers and all the very best seasonal felicitations to you all!

Hi Just keeping everyone in the loop, because I've received a load of e-mails about individual items on the list, and don't want people to think I'm ignoring them. I do, however, have someone coming to see/buy the lot on Saturday, so could I ask everyone who's messaged me about individual items to p...
