Cassese 276 Part Needed

Tried the usual places online, but I've been unable to source this pneumatic three-way switch. I know it will not be easy to find, and notice that Cassese no longer even mention this mighty, but venerable machine on their website. Any help in locating either the original part, or its equivalent, wil...

Re: Different mount types in one framing job

One possible solution would be to set up items in your Mount Type list for the combinations that you use, pricing each combination as a single item.

Re: 2 programmes on one pc

You may have noticed that it is possible to run two copies of the program on the same computer, but the intention here is to allow you to serve two customers simultaneously. As both instances access the same dataset, this ability would not serve your purpose. However, as it stands, EstLite could imp...

Re: OOPS ! Deleted customer of 10 years ...

Because of its potential for harm, the safety measures were built into the <Delete Cust> button right from the start, so it works exactly the same way on every version of EstLite with that feature. If it were possible to bypass my safeguards in a previous version, then the possibility still exists! ...

Re: OOPS ! Deleted customer of 10 years ...

Adam, since you "have quite no idea how I did it", I'll walk you through how it happened. As an example, I'll remove a customer (AA Framing Customer) from my records. 1. Click the shiny new button - marked "Remove Cust" 2021-11-01 (4).png EstLite gives me the opportunity to decid...

Re: OOPS ! Deleted customer of 10 years ...

You have a couple of options. Restore from the last backup made before the unfortunate deletion, and manually recreate the more recent records of the customers and jobs that are lost as a result. Email me the zip file of the current EstLite backup, and the numbers of a couple of jobs belonging to t...

Re: Pricing Increases

So it turns out that you did yourself a favour with your happy accident. :D I should have pointed out that the restore thing would only work if restoring from a backup that was made from before the "happy accident" However, I agree 100% that you should leave things as they are, I doubt tha...

Re: Pricing Increases

No problem, if you haven't saved yet, enter 0% and all will revert to original. If the change has already been saved, then restore from the previous backup. Hint In the Options/Data page, press Alt-Z (on your keyboard) before Restore and only the pricing data will be restored, this way Customer and ...

Re: Calculating Slip & Frame Size

You guessed right. When stacking frames on EstLite, work from the innermost outwards. For example: F1+F2+F3+...etc Where F1 is the innermost frame rim. Dimensions are calculated, based on the moulding widths of the mouldings. So, the inside base dimensions of F2 would be equal to the outer dimension...

Re: Moulding Lengths

MouldingLength.png The moulding length required to complete the job at hand is shown circled in red. When using imperial units, as in this example, the length is displayed in feet. The calculation for this figure takes into consideration the moulding width and applies the current waste factor. High...

Re: visualisation software

Example:
Here is a visualisation of a moulding with a repeating pattern.

Unfortunately not all mouldings work this well. The quality of the visualisation decreases as the random element in a moulding's finish becomes more pronounced

Re: Offcuts Formula?

The Maximum Frame Size calculator, will do the sums for you. Not only will it calculate the maximum frame size that can be made from a given length of moulding, but it will also calculate the (theoretical) length of moulding required to make a frame of given dimensions. Just enter the Moulding Lengt...

Re: Offcuts Formula?

Well spotted Pramsay. :D

The 50mm is a bit arbitrary, but it is to allow for an initial trim to clean up the mitre at the outside end of the moulding and the extra nibble that is taken at every cut by the point of the Morso blade, or saw.

Re: Offcuts Formula?

Subtract 50mm (or 2inches) from your moulding length Subtract 8 times the moulding width from the above result Divide by 2 The result will be the width plus height of the glass that will fit the frame that can be made from the length of moulding (assuming it to be flawless). For example say your mou...

Re: Stand alone visualisation software

You may not be able to find what you are looking for, Sarah.
In order to protect their assets, developers of web apps such as those for online frame visualisation, restrict the business user's access to the front end.

Re: Estlite Trial Version - Mouldings

The "trial" refers to the period of unregistered use and has nothing to do with the way the program functions.
In other words, during your trial period you have unrestricted use of the application.

Re: Merging Duplicate Customers?

If all the results seem valid, I keep the customer record with the most detail and merge all of the jobs into that. For example, I'd keep the record with a full name, address, and email, and merge the jobs belonging to customers with just a phone number into that. OMG, you may have started something...
