Re: Queen's Diamond Jubilee print

I did read that but failed to see where to purchase it anywhere else. I even googled John Swannell which just brought up loads of his other work. I somehow didn't end up with the result you did. Thank you so much for the link and your help.I knew this would be the place to sort it. :D

Queen's Diamond Jubilee print

Hi, I wonder if the Framers Forum can help me once again please. I have a customer who has seen an image of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee that they asked me to source and then frame. Discussed a framing option and I know of a few reliable websites to get prints from so confidently said I would do it. ...

Printing canvas

We have a large roll of printing canvas we acquired from someone that was closing down. Anyone got any ideas of how much we could sell it for and who might be interested please.

Re: Damaged Moulding

We had a problem with a supplier sending out moulding just wrapped in one layer of card and nearly every other delivery turned up damaged and we had to report the damage. This was becoming a joke as we would struggle to meet deadlines. After pushing the supplier to wrap the moulding in bubble wrap a...

Japanese Hand Painted Wallpaper

Hi Forum Friends, We have just had in customer with 6 large sections of hand painted wallpaper in a very fragile state. :sweating: The customer believes they are on rice paper but we are not sure. They are old and damaged and the customer is wanting us to cut out parts of each section to frame. We k...

Re: Frame Engraving

Thanks for your help. Will keep them in mind for the future. Framing essentials did say they could do engraving on frames but they are new to it and could probably manage a word or two but a whole poem around the entire frame was a bit too much, especially in the short time we had. Customer was fine...

Re: Moulding search

Finally got a picture from my customer showing the style she'd like me to copy. Any advice would be most welcome. I'm thinking it's two mouldings, the inner one sat on top of a board. There doesn't seem to be a mitre on the wide flat surface.

Village Shows

We are doing our local village show today and also opening the studio. We have previously closed on show day and we have missed customers who have come to the studio. Do any of you still do village shows or do you find them a waste of time?

Re: Frame Engraving

After a vast amount of research we were unable to complete this order and the customer had to chose something else for his anniversary gift :( . If anyone does manage to find anyone who can offer this service please let us know.

Frame Engraving

Hi, can anyone engrave onto moulding? Seen it on here, looks like it's a laser that fits a computerised mount cutter.(See woodpecker needlework thread). Got a request for one, I'm in Yorkshire, he needs it posting to Berkshire. The framing job is simple if anyone fancies taking it on. Simple flat br...

Re: Woodpecker needlepoint

This is fantastic. Just had a request for a poem engraved on a frame. I remembered seeing this. You know anyone who could do this for me in the Yorkshire area? Or happy to take it on, the framing job is simple and with flexi points to put their own item in. Any flat brown moulding and an offwhite mo...

It was a white/whitewashed finish. She's taken pics as I thought I could find just the right thing. She's coming back to collect framing of other stuff, so will ask her to bring them in. Size of profile probably around 180mm.

Moulding search

Hi. Had a request from a very good artist customer of ours to frame something. She brought in photos of what she'd seen and would like in the same style. It looks like the outside edge is raised, then it drops down to look a bit like a mount, wide flat area, then the sight edge is raised to form a b...

We have also used A6 coloured postcards around all the local villages and we are still getting people in who we delivered to 4.5 years ago. We have found this a good marketing tool for us in our location. :)
