Re: How to treat a chinese paper cut
That does look pretty good, excellent work indeed in answer to your tape question I'd step it down and onto the backing board, that'll seal everything y'see

Again, don't see the value in her 'art' and it looks like someone has ruined it anyway by scribbling all over it

Re: Hello from darkest Devon!
Hi Graham
Welcome, first advice is to learn to do things properly - believe me it'll save you money in the long term
Plenty of great people on here, don't be afraid to ask for help (I've asked loads of basic stuff)
Hope things work out for you

Re: Float Mount Record Sleeve - Simple Method
just an update - hands up, it was my own fault, I had originally cut the slits about 2mm inside the sleeve outline (thinking it would hide the secret) but it was completely wrong. Taking Johns advice with securing the diagonally opposite corners first and making the slits on the edge it worked a tre...

Re: Float Mount Record Sleeve - Simple Method
Hi, I tried this method today and can I just say I failed miserably (not enough to warrant the Epic flag though). I've made the slits, made them about 2mm inside the outline of the cover, looks great until I tighten the straps - then the pressure pushes the cover to reveal the slit (not nice). In th...

Re: Polcore.
Hi iamzero :) Thanks for sharing that indeed, actually I completely agree - I had loads of duff mouldings (nice though) but the gesso finish just keep cracking/chipping on the edges, made it unusable really but then, like you, I tried some polcore stuff and it's great and, like mentioned, sometimes ...

Re: Medal case
Making the case was straight forward - I just used Arqadia 258492348 (reasonably deep moulding) & their suedette crimson mountboard, foamcore with matching mountboard to line the inside and a neat little 'box' popped out at the end. The customer loves the case/box but still wants to use the litt...

oooh, that's pretty close. That might do the trick except there's nothing to stop the toggle coming through the hole

Re: Medal Display Case ??
maybe, but ideally I'd just try and find those little brown 'stud with a hole for the pin' things. I'm trying to keep the customer happy by trying to keep things as simple as possible
