Re: Bank Holidays
We never open on bank holidays. Our customers know this and have not complained. It helps that my main competitor does likewise.

Re: Pricing using the artists own moulding??
i guess if you were doing enough of this kind of work there is a benefit, that you dont need stock but as others think its a bad idea should ask them if they would take car parts to the gargae to get the mechanic to sort their car I asked one artist if they took their own fish to the chippy and ask...
Re: Beer mats
I'd go with Alan's suggestion of a sub mount the depth of the mats with an over mount with the apertures slightly smaller than the mats. No adhesive on the mats and fully reversable

Re: workshop risk assessments
Regarding the use of safety gloves for glass. I've just been inspected by h&s and the inspector said the use of gloves was up to the individual. She was more concerned that the dust extractor for my saw ( which is not a requirement to have) had not been inspected by a specialist in the last 18 m...

Re: For Sale: Drytac Vistamount Dry Mount Tissue
Thanks for the reply. My man with the 2024 will only use unimount. He says he tried "the cheap stuff" and it was rubbish. I was hoping this was equivalent at a cheaper price!

Re: Double Mitre Saw
I use a brevetti prisma Ce. Great bit of kit. No air needed. And a 13 amp supply is all it needs. I've hooked it up to a small extractor and to be honest it's not quite up to the job, but it's in a different room to assembly so not really a problem. Feel free to come to west Yorkshire for an extende...

help finding poster
I need to find a poster for a customer, its one of the new Cunard posters, all three ships (Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria) with the red Cunard name at the top and "the most famous ocean liners in the world" across the bottom. I've tried google and allposters to no avail I'...

Just a word of warning. I was unable to get a good result with the Arqadia moulding on my Morso. Even with newly sharpened blades I got chop out. I now have a double headed mitre saw and get perfect results

Re: Receiving moulding with marks... what is acceptable?
We are lucky enough to be on a van route from our major supplier (radius in Darlington). Ive had only a couple of lengths of damaged moulding in two years. Replaced without quibble on the next run. The van drivers only deliver moulding (and glass etc) and the vans are adapted accordingly. The packag...
