Re: junk mail and annoying phone calls
My understanding that you guys have something similar to our “Do-Not-Call” registry. Despite our being on it, there are still some telemarketers who ignore or are exempt from it. Particularly annoying to me are the “computer” voice calls, who begin their sales pitch as soon as the phone is answered....

Re: Has any customer ever done this to you?
I’ve never had anyone show photos of the room, but I have had tons of people bring in slip covers, pillows, drapes, wallpaper and paint chips to try to “coordinate” the feng shui ( whatever, dude !) of the room. I actually had someone bring in an end table so that I could try to match the stain for ...

I tried to warn you guys about Chickie!
But noOOo, you wouldn’t listen.
I have been on the receiving end of a three way call by her and another Grumbler. Believe me, getting called a "ninnie" is Chickie just getting warmed up.
Be afraid … be very afraid.

And, of course, there is the frantic call to the police when a woman locked her keys in the car on a hot summer day. She was hysterical because her kids were strapped into the back seat. The police fearing that the kids would suffocate sent a patrol car but suggested that she break one of the side w...

Re: Beinfang VacuPress or Beinfang Masterpiece?
Depending on your needs, of course, but consider that 1) a Vacuum Press theoretically needs a bit more maintenance (gaskets, etc.) than a heat press (thermostats are the only things that need periodic replacement), and 2) Vacuum presses are generally more expensive to begin with. With a vacuum press...

As it so happens, the “Word of the Day” (May 8, 2010) on Earthlink.net is chevron Definition - a badge or insignia in the form of an inverted V. So if “Other Cathy” would abandon her colo(u)ring book and pick up a dictionary on occasion, she might not have to embarrass herself by asking silly questi...

I hope your not saying that I am a Raving Lunatic, not nice at all, although do admit to quirky  No, not you Cathy; the “Other Cathy”. Man, that is one cool tool! I’d love the fact that after a hard day’s work shoveling out a septic tank, I could turn around and use it again to make potato crisps. And, it comes in a variety of colors to suit that special woman in your life. But, what’s with the music? It sounds like it came from a ...

The news is a bit confusing over here.
It is reported that the Labour Party and Liberal Democrats may try to form a coalition.
I assume that both are on the left of the political spectrum. What are the differences between the parties?

Be careful what you wish for. This is our (very) local weather guy,” Uncle Al, the Kiddies Pal”. http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr300/maltwit/UncleAl.jpg His voice will cut glass; he predicted snowfall in the middle of July; and, rumor has it, he may have a fondness for small children and pets. ...

Re: Flag Frame
While we have no experience with a Union Jack, we’ve done several American flags roughly that size. I’m not familiar with “fuse wire” but you want to insure that the thread material is weaker than the fabric of the flag so that the flag itself won’t tear if the frame gets jarred. Spacers are always ...
