Re: Pouring Oil On Troubled Waters

Ah, now I understand my confusion. Apparently our over-zelous IT manager (me) decided some time ago to block all youtube access. I couldn't see the video.

I've managed to get on my "test" internet connection and view it.

Re: Just Call Me Jim’ll

My dad showed me a record once. I borrowed it and had to trim it to get it to fit the cd tray. I don't know how he got it to work on his computer.

If you are not using a mount you may find over time a collection of dust at the bottom of the frame from the pastels. I would normally use a mat with a foamcore spacer so the dust falls between the art and mat.

I hear you Steve. I had an argument at work with a Lesta guy about who was going to go down. It seems as though everyone agreed with him and said that Southampton wouldn't win and would go down. I have won the bet.  Time to collect on Tuesday. Now, should I be a kind Cov fan and be quiet ...

Thats very useful, thanks John.

So, what do you all think about pinning as a method? I read on the Grumble that quite a lot of people use that method. Is pinning common over here? What would you say are the downsides to it?

I was reading through one of my reference books by Vivian Kistler and saw the section on pinning needlework. I was going to grab a sample from my mother and try to t-pin it onto the foamboard. 3mm foamboard should be thick enough to ensure I don't stab myself when putting the pins into the edge. I w...

And for your next trick..... your going to pull a rabbit (or is that a rebate) out of a hat!

Thinking about this some more could you seal the glass/matt sandwich with silicon around the edges or ask him what colour his wall is and paint the frame the same colour. :P

A man walks into a bar - he sits down and orders a drink. The barman gives him his drink, accompanied by a bowl of peanuts. To his surprise, a voice comes from the peanut bowl. "You look great tonight!" it said, "You really look fantastic... and that aftershave is just wonderful!"...

Hi Ruimar, Welcome to the forums. Where did you do the course? If you want to mount the photo you should hinge it at the top only. It isn't advisable to use double sided tape all of the way round as the photo will have no room to expand/contract. The best thing to do is to use two T hinges at the to...
