I agree all recommendations above and i will add that for a moulding in this size i always like to add a biscuit joint done with a thin router bit, beside keeping the band clamp until glue dry.

I can add that I'm a professional framer although i don't use the professional framer tools you discuss in this forum because i prefere manual methods.
