Re: Where to order card - large size!

Sophie, The size you ask for is half of the normal smallest sheet bought by framers As Steven suggests ask your local framer You may get the cold shoulder, as the framer will see it as taking work he/she would like to do. Bit like going into a restaurant and asking the chef to sell you a piece of me...

Re: New member and would be grateful for some assitance!

An old framer friend of mine, told me cover your new bench with some left over carpet.

Cant remember his reasoning, but just passing it on in case it helps

Re: Undermount

Prospero wrote so they have an enormous amount of stuff book-mounted and stashed away in drawers. I once visited an exhibition in Leipzig, solely for Museum people. I learnt much, but one fact sticks with me 96% of what the average museum has at any one time is in storage. One company did nothing el...

Steve,

I like it :head:
The youthful colour scheme will appeal to the younger generation, just the types we need to encourage into frame shops.

Why not show 2 pics, 1 empty, and a second with a kids painting of a rainbow. or similar virus related art work?

Re: Ideas for funerals

Am I allowed to say that it was, and never will be my intention to upset anyone, although I seem to have managed to do just that. The very sad passing of Ricky was a blow to all of us. The same day I heard the news, I has been talking at length with a very religious friend about death, funerals, wak...

I realise this is not a subject all of you are comfortable with, but death remains something difficult to avoid :giggle: And the post has attracted almost 500 views so has got peoples attention. It has been read by George Strange a framer in Brandon, Canada and he has emailed me an interesting story...

Re: Sex toy sales are up over 100% in Norway and Denmark during March

Now over 250 views, probably caused by my flippant heading  But nobody seems to wants to take it up and run with my idea. Even framers seems remarkably disinterested judging by the low response. I visualise a LARGE poster with some before and after visuals and saying Save your child's best lock...

Re: Sex toy sales are up over 100% in Norway and Denmark during March

I consider myself suitable scolded by 3 of the last 4 posters  The title was a little risqué. When I saw the heading in the paper it got me thinking " Is there any way framers might also benefit from the lockdown" Next time I will simply start with " An idea to take adva...

 COME ON ! 49 people have viewed this, and no a single response so far .. :Slap: Is it a workable idea? :?: Surely you have an opinion, lets hear it. I am suggesting something to help grow the framers biz when normal times return. Isn't that something all framers desire. If you can su...

Sex toy sales are up over 100% in Norway and Denmark during March

😄 I knew that would get your attention ! Seriously now, I'm thinking how can framers also benefit from the lockdown and stay home. Millions of children are right now drawing, painting, and making images to put in their windows and around the homes. They will remember the virus when they are older, L...

Re: Ideas for funerals

I hope my post has not offended anyone. It was a genuine attempt to get your views and opinions of funerals It was partially prompted by a funeral I attended in France There were 2 Englishmen dressed in the usual dark suit and black tie The French men all had colourful ties and explained " We a...

Ideas for funerals

I was going to post this on Ricky's ( Barnard Castle) obituary thread, but then decided better to keep it separate. I have this idea to make a video before I die which can be shown at the funeral service, or more likely at the wake afterwards. In the video I am looking at the congregation and saying...

No spare time this last week  Think most of you know I'm supplying Munken Mount boards from Sweden to the framing industry worldwide and this last week biz has not stopped. Deliveries to Europe, are being sent as if nothing has changed, as trucks are allowed to cross borders. And most distribut...
