Re: Union Jack from Afghanistan
It is often stated that the Union Flag should only be described as the Union Jack when flown in the bows of a warship, but this is a relatively recent idea. From early in its life the Admiralty itself frequently referred to the flag as the Union Jack, whatever its use, and in 1902 an Admiralty Circu...

Re: CMC choices
Valiani now have 8 CMC's. From entry level up to high speed, double headed, double cutting table.
Visit the NEC in 2014 and give me a shout.
I will be on the D & J Simons Machinery stand demonstrating the CMC's and V-Studio software.

Re: CMC choices
The advice that I was given from the USA some 8 years ago was: Take a diagram of a mount with you to any trade fair where all CMC distributors are on display. Hand the diagram to the demonstrator and ask him/her to design and cut whilst you are there. That way you will see the design process on scre...

Re: Valiani MatPro 120 non cmc
Short answer. Yes.IFGL wrote:so will the L100b blades work with the green head, and will the L100 blades work with blue head?
There is a different head design between the GREEN and the BLUE head.
Head pressure also plays a big part in cutting 3.5mm card

Re: Valiani MatPro 120 non cmc
For Pheasant. D & J Simons & Sons are the UK Distributor for Valiani Pneumatic and CMC's. If you PM me your email address then the Valiani Support Group will also help with your Manual. For IFGL The L100 and the L100B blades are exactly the same size. The difference is in the angle of the bl...

Re: Wanted: CNC Mount Cutter
590, you might want to look for a CMC (Computer Mount Cutter) rather than a CNC (Computer Numerical Contol).

Re: Wonga dot com
I get the advert under the first post on each section. My understanding is that this position is under the control of the Forum Administrator as they are 'paid for' ads. With that 'Do not track me' App. I no longer get the ads at the bottom of the page. See the post by AllFramed above, for the link.

This is the one I have.

We had it in the shop for 18 months before moving.
I have no complaints at all about it.

I would not use Calor gas for heating where there is a lot of Mountboard around.
Check out the water content given off for calor heating.

Re: Help with insulation
I was advised - by a number of builders and references on the web - NOT to use plasterboard or MDF but use OSB. Even if you insulate the garage door, you will still end up with gaps around it. Wind and rain, will find a way in. I certainly went with the 'belt and braces system' because of the expens...

Re: Help with insulation
Will the Garage door be in use? Will the Garage door be sealed. If not then I would not use Plasterboard or MDF. They both attract damp like a sponge. I did exactly the same to my garage. I first lined the garage walls/floor and ceiling with sheet DPC. I then used standard 'stud partition' timber be...
