Re: What do you call this type of corner - and what is missing in the holes!
That's interesting that they gave it that name in their book and makes you wonder where they'd seen it in that connection - as you say it may have been a particular design that had been given that name. Like Vintage, we'd only ever previously seen that style referred to as Kent frames.
Re: Best glue
Another vote for Titebond
We use Titebond 1 the majority of the time, Titebond 3 on occasion.
But a bit like asking, "which is the best mountcutter?", everyone will have their favourite glue, as Vintage has intimated.

It’s been that long that I’d forgotten I’d recommended it! Glad you’re getting stuff sorted though.Justintime wrote: ↑Mon 12 Jun, 2023 3:47 pm Ok, so as is usual for me, I have only just received and fitted the airline that Tudor Rose suggested. Nine months is not bad for me!!

Re: Wizard8000 software issue
Do you have a technical support contract with Wizard Germany? They changed the business model a few years ago when Framers Corner stopped being their distributor and UK support. My understanding (and I don't have a Wizard, just aware of previous chats about it) is that unless you have a contract wit...

Dermot and Justin: Lovely bit of work and always good to hear about a bit of collaboration between framers  Fascinating to see the areas you've had to repair/rebuild and then the finished frame with seamless blending so that you'd never know it had been done. We've dabbled in this sort of thin...

Even with trimming down the height of the Nielsen moulding, we did get them to build out the back as well.Gesso&Bole wrote: ↑Fri 31 Mar, 2023 10:06 am I love the paradoxical use of the mirror slip
I've not used a Frinton frame for a while now - is there enough rebate depth, or did you have to build out the back?

This is one for our wall next to the design desk. We sell a good number of Frinton Frames every year and customers love the flexibility they offer to change decorative elements or colour. We decided to create a wall example to (hopefully) act as a great advert for selling even more of them! W...

We’re with BT at work. Not the cheapest but good service, very good if we ever have problems and it comes with an EE back up dongle which has proved useful at times.

Hi Fusionframer I've edited your post to rotate the image. Once you've attached it, click on the small circle/arrow next to the attachment description and a thumbnail image of the photo will show. Then click or tap on the image itself. It will spin around. When it is in the right orientation click s...

Re: Retail
Good quality ceramics, fused or blown glass art, stained glass decorative items or mosaic art items seem to do well in some of the independent small gallery shops in this part of the world. Particularly if made by local artists.

Re: Black core conservation mountboard ?
Hi Is there such a thing as White /cream with Black core conservation mountboard? Simple answer is no. You can get solid black in cotton, but any black core with white or cream face paper isn’t Level 2 Conservation. It would be Level 4 Standard board. John mentioned Nielsen boards - a lot of their ...

Well that's another set of clamps we're going to have to buy now!
For small frames at the moment, we find our Veritas 4 way speed clamps to be really useful.
