Re: user names and avatars
Mine originated after many years, like most of us, I presume, have had a life, fraught with ups and downs. The Seesaw epitomises just that...Sometimes up, sometimes down but generally in equilibrium. The Avatar is, according to those who know me (or claim to) to match my disposition, Warm & Sunn...

Re: Unfinished Profiles
Thanks Prospero, Your suggestion of having them specially milled has a great deal of merit. Maybe, with them possibly being available again, there would be a demand again. With your vast experiences, would you have any recommendations as to who to approach regarding the milling? Again, thanks for yo...

Unfinished Profiles
Please help dear Forumites. I am trying to source unfinished timber profiles (Obeche or similar) as per the attachment. I have used them in various different deep-sunk boxes, either clad with matching (separated) mountboard, brushed velvet or even corduroy fabrics glued to create a matching facing. ...

Hi Jack,
Thanks for this.
Have also traced a range of specialised adhesives from
http://www.rossmod.co.uk. They have an equivalent to PR40 at a third of the price.

Steve

Re: Polcore
For what it is worth, my experiences in the "Colonies" with resin type frames was to use a cyanoacrylate specially formulated for these types of "plastics". It was Rite-Lok PR40. I have tried to obtain supplies here and have found it available at a pricey £9.50 / 20 ml. I have tr...

Thanks Prospero.
Murphy says that despite the best of intentions and as careful as one can be, a puncture is inevitable.
Comforting to know that there is some advice and assistance out in "ether land".
Thanks for the offer.

Ademco sponge?
HELP dear Forumites. I have recently acquired a Ademco table-top heat sealer/vacuum press Model 2638. It has hardly seen any use and is in very good condition. One shortcoming, is the foam sheet that is apparently required to be used under the release paper. It is looking somewhat tired and I would ...

Specialised Ink for Washlines
Hello Forumites, Could someone kindly point me in the right direction regarding the ink for washlines. I had previously used, almost a plasticised, colour stabilised ink with my ruling pens. These were acquired in the Colony, far far away and are no longer accessible to me. Any suggestions would be ...
