My Excalibur 5000 has developed “slop” in the head, I.e. it moves on the vertical post. Is there any way to adjust this? It’s not that old but has had plenty of use.
Thanks

Re: Mount Borders in the Golden Ratio
That’s really interesting! I’d love to know the calculation behind the scenes if you’re willing to share it. (I’ve written my own POS system and I’d like to incorporate your calculations as at present the default is just 50mm/60mm and sometimes I wonder if the staff just click on the default rather ...

Re: Window mount sizes query
We always load the bottom unless specifically asked not to. As we make the mount a couple of mm smaller than the frame to allow for expansion, if we were to cut the mount even all round them the bottom would appear smaller at the bottom as the expansion gap would obviously be at the top. We vary the...

Re: Cost of waste glass disposal.
I pay £3.50 plus vat for a glass bin lift (edited, my glass bin is a 360L) I also pay £12.10 plus vat for a general waste bin lift (edited, my general waste bin is 660L)) I also pay £5 plus vat for a cardboard & paper bin lift (1100L) All fortnightly, so around £41 a month. (No bin rental charges)

Re: Which Moulding Supplier Do You Use and Recommend?
I get 90% of my mouldings and board products from Centrado. I like the van delivery rather than the pot luck of couriers.
I also use Larson juhl, Lion and Mainline.

Re: Deep rebate moulding
Thanks Ricky.
I’m really looking for one with a stain finish, there’s not enough profit in these frames to pay for me to add one.

Deep rebate moulding
Unfortunately Simons have discontinued their Phoenix 34 moulding, can anyone suggest an alternative?

Re: Looking for CASSESE CS940or similar
Thanks again for your help.
The 969 would be great, but it’s a big beast, needs 3 phase, lots of air etc.
I fancied the smaller lighter 940, but would like to try before I buy.

Re: Looking for CASSESE CS940or similar
Thanks for your help. Do you mean that the 940 gives poorer rear (back of the moulding) cuts than the 969? If so then I won’t be investing.

Have you made your decision yet? I’m in a similar situation, I’ve already got a Brevetti Prisma, but fancy a 940.

No need for holes. This won’t breath. Usual barrier board and backing will be fine.

Re: Premises size
We’ve got 2,500 sq ft but don’t use some of it. It’s handy because it’s split into 4 work areas (one a Mazzanine). We use them like this: Customer area approx 400 square ft (sell cards & prints) Mezzanine above (same size) is used as clean area, has cmc, heat press, Excalibur 5000 and is where w...

Re: Bambi Compressor Help
In your first picture the valve on the left gives you the pressure in the tank. The valve on the right can be adjusted to the output pressure you need. That’s where you need your connection.

Re: Bambi Compressor Help
The one on the right is a safety valve. It’s the one in the left you need a connector to, the one with the bowl under it.
It looks like 1/4” BSP so you need a 1/4” male PCL fitting (could be 3/8 or 1/2 though)
I’m referring to your second picture by the way.

Re: Underpinner
The gaps are not usually caused by the underpinner (unless your outside pin is too near the outside edge) it is caused by either your cutter, your cutting technique or warped moulding. The cassese cs1 is a manual underpinner which I’ve heard good things about. They cost around £1200 We use a cassese...

Simons do a mixed pack of 10. So you could order 9 of your best selling white and one colour.
I was thinking the OP could collect from Simons. (Next week obviously)
