Re: Great service from Mainline Mouldings

I had no lion bar in my last delivery - I put it down to the fact that I had 2 boxes of mount board and it would have been squashed in the box if it had been packed with the board!

Re: Great service from Mainline Mouldings

Thanks Vince. Our warehouse lads have been working overtime to speed things up and I have to say Tuffnells have been much better this year than in the past, 99% of orders have been delivered on time during December. They've only lost one parcel so far, so if anyone has a box of POL4445 they didn't o...

Mainline. They have a pickup and delivery service which saves a bit of hassle. It's a long walk to the post office.

This might be something that Grahame & Mary have through at Blackhall Framing Gallery.
They are on the forum but may not be online much at the minute..
Drop them an email at info@haveitframed.co.uk or give them a bell on 0131 343 6264 or 0845 388 6943

hope you get it sorted

Discontinued Lion Moulding

Hi, customer would like a matching frame to the one attached.

Pretty sure it's the discontinued Lion moulding,

Do any other suppliers have moulding like this?

Can't find in Arqadia or Mainline.

Many thanks,

Thanks for trying guys, customer is looking for an exact match though.
(Mainline's finish on Arqadia's profile would do it)

Re: Where and how do you get your mouldings etc?

... next day. Customer service for both is excellent. They are the ones that have given me free samples and have decent delivery terms. I have used Mainline and Lion in the past, usually when I have had to match a previous frame design and can't fault the service from either. I don't have Lion samples ...

Re: Where and how do you get your mouldings etc?

My suppliers go like this Arqadia, usually next day, free if order > £100 net Mainline as per arqadia (order before 11:30 for next day) Frinton 48 hr usually, free over something like £75 Wessex, I'm on a van run, deliver twice a week, orders over about £75 free ...

Re: Largest Moulding Supplier

I would have said mainline was tiny in comparison though they do have a good range of plastic mouldings.

Robo, Arqadia are owned by larson Juhl who own factories all over the world, and arqadia has branches all over europe as well.

Re: Largest Moulding Supplier

Very interesting stuff. Are there any figures for percentage market shares?
I was under the impression that Mainline was growing rapidly so looks like the balance is changing.

Re: Pinning tall narrow mouldings

... hrs). Then drill and pin as already suggested. Renaissance Mouldings and (if I remember rightly?) Wessex Pictures / Frinton Mouldings and perhaps Mainline Mouldings have a range Oak veneered mouldings, (probably on obeche?) Assuming that one of these suppliers has an appropriate profile, then ...

Re: Help reqd re small Arqadia oak mldg, 113 200 000.

If it is going to be a PITA to cut on a morso and they want it cheap, then I wouldn't bother as it isn't going to be profitable for you. If you had a saw and a pneumatic underpinner then that would be a different story.

Failing that Mainline do some nice oak veneers. :D
