JM 34 Jetmounter Materials

Seems that the JM 34 Jetmounter has been discontinued. :(
Where can I buy adhesive and laminating films in a suitable size (say 30 to 32 inch) for this machine.
Alternatively is it possible to have a 60 inch roll cut into 2 x 30"?

Re: 1870 Newspaper

Turned out to be very solidly constructed. The front was cut from a single piece of timber (teak?) into which was set a piece of 6mm glass which might have been toughened, I didn't try to break it though. The box was made from 1in marine ply. The area behind the false bottom was filled with silica g...

Re: Pricing Software

EstLite is a Windows application. However it will work on a mac running a Windows emulator, although I've no personal experience with this setup.

Re: STOCK CONTROL USING ESTLITE

While it is possible to set the system to predict the quantity of material that you will likely use for a given job, there is just no way to predict actual wastage day to day, job to job, or batch to batch - so you end up having to make manual adjustments to keep the thing accurate. This is the natu...

Thanks for the feedback, Uncle Sumo.

Note that on this occasion you do not require your registration details as restoring from back-up registers the program automatically.

If you don't mind making the modification, you could change the Windows Regional Settings on your laptop to UK. In Windows 10: Close BBEst Settings Click - Time and Language Click - Region & Language Click - Additional Date, Time & Regional Settings Click - Region In the new Region window cl...

Re: New moulding list

It is usually fairly straightforward to add new suppliers' moulding tables.

If it can be arranged for Flagship to provide us with their list and keep it current, we will be happy to include it within the EstLite system.

Re: Hacker alert

BBEst has determined that the trial period has expired, sorry if this is not the case, unfortunately registration is the only way to continue on this computer. However you should be able to get another trial period by installing BBEst on another computer.

Re: What is the EXTRAS for?

EstLite's Help system is well worth perusing as it will make you aware of many useful features that may not be immediately apparent. Features such as Extras, which will allow you to add additional items or services that you regularly provide to your framing customers. It is entirely up to you as to ...

Re: Add an additional moulding

EstLite has a column for Moulding Location (see screenshot below) Mouldings.png However, if you are referring to stacked frames, they are easily accommodated by use of the plus sign. Up to 5 mouldings can be "stacked" in order (Innermost first) Main.png Two mouldings are stacked in the exa...

Re: Contacting your customers by SMS text messages

SMS is built into EstLite. While it is not free to use, it does save a bit of faffing about as customer and job details are already on the system, and it is easy to set up two or three templates of varying strengths (from simple notification, through gentle reminder, to something a bit stronger) tha...

Re: Pricing complex shadowbox frames

EstLite incorporates an online help system which can be accessed from most screens. On screens that do not have a Help button pressing the F1 key on the keyboard will do the trick. The help is always relevant to the screen from which it is accessed. Now once on a Help screen, if you move the mouse ...

Re: You Tube Video - The Mount Package

Now that I've got a better grasp of your concerns, I can see that you have clearly put some thought into this, but I'm just not convinced that the 1mm you talk about would have a negative impact in the real world of framing.

Sorry, it's a bit too nit-picky for me.

Re: You Tube Video - The Mount Package

OK, I think I understand what you are saying, but it raises a couple of questions for me. Is there a reason for taping along the longest side? I have always taped along the top edge, do you think this is wrong? In my case the 1mm excess would have no impact on the positioning of the mount within the...

Re: You Tube Video - The Mount Package

Perfectly right maguirei. To be honest I just thought that span2iels must be correct given his track record, but now you have put a doubt in my mind. And I agree that it is great to be able to discuss matters such as this on the forum. However, I'm kind of undecided at the moment. So, can you explai...
