In my previous profession, we were told we didn't have problems, we had opportunities.

I saw them at the old Wembly Stadium in 1988. Utterly brilliant.

My other half thinks this might be a good song for his funeral. :D

Re: salutary lesson

My plea would be for EVERYONE to wear seat belts. ALWAYS. My husband and I were involved in a fatal car crash on Salisbury Plain over 20 years ago. The driver whose car collided with ours died on impact. He was not wearing his seat belt when they recovered him. I was asleep and suffered a broken fem...

I've just changed it about 6 times by using the wheel on the mouse to bounce the ball vertically and left click as it comes past.

Re: Petrol Prices

You can bet that all the 4x4 drivers live within a mile of the school and are too lazy to walk their cherubs to school. My teenagers have to walk/cycle 2 miles to senior school and very rarely get lifts but my neighbour who has children the same age drives them every day come rain or shine. When we ...

Re: Doctor Who

I watched it with my 16 year old daughter. Our verdict- not as good(looking) as David Tennant but ,like you said, not as bad as I was expecting. I will be watching again so will reserve judgement until I've seen more episodes. They are both better looking than the first Doctor I watched,John Pertwee...

Re: Lacework on silk?

Thank you to all for your replies.

On reflection, I will go back to sewing the lacework onto mountboard, which was the intial idea.

Seems like it's not just the customers who sometimes go round the houses only to go back to the original idea.

At least I learnt something along the way.

Re: Lacework on silk?

I didn't mention that it is a ring of lacework about 1 1/2 " in width all the way round probably 12" total diameter I have bought the silk for the reason that it is natural, but something on the internet (sorry don't know where, the boss looked it up)suggested that silk has natural acid in...

A woman, and a man, are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday morning; it's a bad one .. Both of their cars are totally demolished, but amazingly neither of them is hurt. God works in mysterious ways. After they crawl out of their cars, the man is yelling about women drivers. The woman ...

Re: How did you start?

I started when a friend of mine told me she knew of a picture framer who wanted some part-time help for Christmas, and thought it might suit me. The then owner and his other part timer(a teacher) taught me all they knew and I'm still learning now.Every day. 11 years on I'm still at the same gallery ...
