Melenex / Mylar Straps

Hi
I have a Pilots Log Book that needs holding in place, I was thinking of using Mylar straps but have never used Mylar before so have no idea who sells it, if there are different thicknesses, or even if this would work.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thanks Keith

He replied with and I quote “I'm not personally in a position to confront...
