Re: Lion's new chevrons

This is happening a lot lately, the other day open a brand new pack of moulding (NOT Lion) , cut a whole frame from one length of moulding , came to join it, it was all different heights at each corners , some as much 1.5mm difference, couldn't find two bits that were the same hight, so was faced w...

Re: Maximum size for glass

I go much bigger as long as the frame is build to hold it, subframe and all that too.

Last week I did 1197x1016mm with 2mm Truvue Ultravue and another 1445x1166mm with 2.5mm Truvue museum.

Re: New supplier

I also get a lot of damage with Tuffnells, no idea what they must do with the packages. I've spoken with suppliers and they won't offer any other option for delivery. I have given up reporting and claiming too, it's too time-consuming for just a few pounds. I try to order box sizes on moulding now w...

Blue corner protectors are well worth the money, combined with handy wrap.

Re: Fletcher-Terry 3100 vs Keencut Excalibur 5000

Sounds like the Fletcher 3100 is the one to have, thank you.

I read about mounting it to 18mm ply and then screwing that ply to the wall, I think that's what I will be doing. I do have some helping hands.

Good tip on the glass storage, sound ideal. thank you again

Fletcher-Terry 3100 vs Keencut Excalibur 5000

I'm looking to upgrade from the hand cutter to the wall cutter, can anybody offer advice on the Fletcher-Terry 3100 vs Keencut Excalibur 5000?

I was almost sold on the 3100 but a sales rep said the Excalibur 5000 with the two separate heads is a great bit of kit.

Re: Jumbo Conservation Mountboard

Thank you Richard, white is the last colour wanted but the Crescent size is perfect just shame about the lack of colours. Even more fun, its a double mount :giggle: Prospero I was thinking about doing that, the only problem is sometimes on painted stuff when it's touching the coated glasses I get fu...

Re: Posting a small picture

Bubble wrap, plenty of corner protection (blue foam corners and handy wrap the best), corrugated cardboard around the edges, at least 2 bits of mountboard or cardboard on the front, in a double walled box and packed out with more corrugated card.

I send via UPS and 99% problem free and next day.
