Looks like a custom hand finish. So you might need to source the unfinished mouldings.
Rose & Hollis catalogue would be a good place to start.

I was actually referring to these folk - http://www.thepictureframers.co.uk/index.php who Alan was talking about in his original post. Apologies for any confusion.

Re: Moulding I'd
Looks like Rose & Hollis A108 Obeche. That cut away at the back edge looks like it might cause some problems though. Just looked at their website. Was the MD the guy featured in Grand Designs on the telly a while back doing up a house in Bath and not seeing eye to eye with the council building i...

Hotpress HGP 260 for sale
We are moving to smaller premises and will not have room for our Hotpress machine so it is up for sale. The machine was bought new in 2006, is in very good condition and has only been lightly used. It comes with the original stand and there are some consumables, as seen in the picture, which will be...

Would it work out economic to invest in the profiling machinery to produce your own?
I have to say I prefer using stretcher bars that facilitate re-tensioning of the canvas when required.

Re: Cockling paper
If it is a watercolour and the artist has not bothered to stretch the paper before doing the painting then it is hardly your fault. There seems to be a myth among artists that by using a heavier paper they can get away without stretching it. This is simply untrue unless the watercolour is applied ve...

I think you may already be using them!
Re: Screws
Centrado (01480 445480) do them in boxes of 1,000.
They just appear in their price list as Countersunk Pozi Screws. It is only the 10, 12 & 16mm x 3 that they do in 1000's.
You should be on one of their weekly delivery rounds (probably Friday).

Re: Anyone know the size of Gallahers cigarette cards?
We do most of these and we concur with Mikey that the oldies are 36 x 68, but watch out for repro's cos they are bigger!! http://www.decormount.com/p/cigarette-and-trade-card-mounts/cigarette-card-mount---48-gallaher---22v-and-26h.html And not always cut accurately! I did a reproduction set and the...

Does not stick to synthetic mouldings you need self adhesive for that and as Prospero says some finished wood moulding may need a light sanding.

Re: Mounting / framing postcard - legalities
But we are talking about a postcard to which you affix a stamp and send it to someone else who then takes it to be framed.

Re: Is it me or......
I would imagine the majority of images required already exist and it would just be a matter of getting the images from the original manufacturer and uploading to the Simons website. Here is an example from an italian manufacturer's website: http://www.abitarecornici.it/abitare/finiture-en-5-36.htm C...

Re: Is it me or......
I don't have a 2013 Catalogue as I did not go to Springfair this year. Last year they did put the index back in so have they left it out again? Perhaps indexes are only done every other year! Certainly lagging behind the times without an e-commerce website. My latest Price Guide is still in £'s per ...

Comparison to the original shows a number of differences most notably the dog in the foreground which Lowry painted with five legs! Dogs were often used by Lowry to make up gaps in the composition and this is an extract from a Lowry Gallery guide: The most famous example is the five-legged dog in Ol...

Look at the Info Store on the Lion website
Here is a link http://www.lionpic.co.uk/infostore/Techniques,3937.aspx
You need to scroll down a bit until you come to Float mounting of art on heavy paper
It is a downlaodable pdf file so print and keep.
