Re: Morso Blade Change

We average a 3-4 week changeover on blades here. We have 5 sets in rotation - some we've had for years and others that are quite new. We get Mainline to sharpen ours and can't fault the job they do. We usually send 2 sets away at a time as it saves on the postage cost if they are in one parcel.

Help with a moulding - Again!

... of place. TTMG sample.jpg It is 36mm wide, 33mm deep and has a rebate of about 15mm. I have checked our Arqadia and Simon's catalogues, and the Mainline website but haven't found anything myself yet, but there are none so blind as can't see so I'm happy to be corrected :-) Rolf

Ricky from Mainline Mouldings brought your post to my attention.
The moulding indeed is our 423 p/w, this is available from stock.

Re: Mitre Trimmer and Polymer Mouldings

Don't see why not. Pol moulding cuts much the same as wood. Get some in and have a go. Mainline do a good range and also do sample lenghts for half price.

Also, wood glue won't work with pol moulding. We use ga glue called PU Max (you just need to use a little on the joints).

Hope that helps.

Re: Hows everyone coping with the new Arcadia web site?

Mainline Mouldings website is also very good like their 3d moulding view and shows stock. Sometimes Simons have a wider choice than Arqadia in areas, but I much prefer Arqadia for ease of ordering online - with stock levels ...

Re: Gap in joints

I had this problem recently, after investing in new blades. It turned out that Morso did actually have a batch of faulty blades, so they were replaced by Mainline, who I had bought them off.
I do think that blades are often the problem, I have about 6 sets now and only 3 make perfect joints.

... It is a plastic in a cream, faux white washed wood effect, 45 wide, 35mm deep. Looking at the back it is a pale grey colour. My suspicion is it is Mainline Polcore POL 4008 but the last batch of polcore I bought had "Polcore" moulded into it which this did not have but it could be old ...

Tried that too... They like it that much they are prepared to stick with them for their framing which is the major part of what they offer
Hiding to nothing already....

Mainline don't do it either.

Pretty sure it's a mainstream supplier...
