wholesale moulding suppliers for batch frames?

Apart from the following are there any moulding suppliers I should look at for moulding? DJSimmons Wessex Centrado I can buy ahead, probably 400 to 600 ft of moulding at a time, double that if I include Slips/spacers. Its generally all one or two colours of the same profile. Interested in reasonable...

Re: Keencut Laser For sale

If it helps I bought one of these when I started, I paid £120 for it and dont regret the purchase. I subsequently bought an Ultimat because I needed a longer cutter and still have them both. BTW. I find the Laser slightly easier to use when doing a batch of boards because I dont return my left hand ...

Re: Contract CMC wanted

Hi all I ran out of time the last time I needed mount cutting to use anyone from FF but the time is here again to cut more. It looks like we will need around 585 mounts in various sizes cutting. We have dropped the 3mm thick mount requirements for the time being so it will all be standard mount thic...

Re: Wanted - ACP cut to size

I use NEplastics. They deliver and depending how much you need cutting they often do it for free or a small cost. They have always been MM accurate for my orders. Will also cut to any shape for a fee using CNC.

Re: Don't swear at me...

Ive been away, sorry for late response. I'm a fool for not thinking it through properly before I started. I could have used a one piece back piece made of ply, it would have been easier and also more importantly a stronger support for the MDF front. Ahh well I will know if I make a next one. It's go...

Re: Don't swear at me...

I like the idea of a pocket hole jig although not having used one I dont know how hard it would be drill pockets for the angles I want, some angles are think it will be difficult as some pieces join at 140 degrees. I have always wanted one just for making stuff around the house so I may invest and t...

Re: Don't swear at me...

I was thinking of maybe having to add a sheet of ply at the back after the frame had been made, perhaps 1cm in from the edge of the outside edge and screwing the ply onto the frame more to add rigidity if the frame flexed considerably (in the x y directions - if that make sense) but I never through ...

Re: Don't swear at me...

Thanks for taking the time to reply, all good points and ideas. The moulding I made myself, it's quite complicated, it took significant time for the maths and labour and Ive had to make a special table router to do it. The frame has 10 sides in total, a mixture of straight and curved pieces, there i...

Don't swear at me...

I know most of the problems with MDF but I need to underpin some MDF moulding, its around 38mm thick/deep and 50mm wide. I have just ordered some better glue (Titebond Ultimate III) after reading some posts on FF. I dont want to screw up moulding through trial and error as I dont have much spare, my...

Cutting circular laminated glass?

Hi I regularly cut circular pieces of trueview AR70 up to about 90cm diameter and everything is fine. I am considering using laminated glass for a specific order but I dont know if its possible or ever done? I have not even cut a square piece of laminated glass and the youtube videos I have watched ...

Re: Wanted 1m Version Mat cutter

hi I wasn't thinking of selling it but I may consider selling my Keencut 40" Arrow. See pictures attached. You will notice I have attached two eyes to the top and it hangs against the wall when I am not using it, (something you may want to consider if you buy one from someone else). I actually ...

Wanted: Spare cutting rail/arm for 48" Keencut Ultimat

I have a 48" original keencut ultimat. It's pretty worn out and knackered and I am wondering if anyone has already made the upgrade to the Futura and has a spare Gold arm in working condition they may want to sell? Otherwise I may just take the plunge for a Futura upgrade....

Thanks

Apologies for the delay. FYI I am heading to Birmingham tomorrow (Wed) to drop my Hotpress Laminator off halfway to the new owner. If you live between SE and Birmingham I can drop this off on the way to anyone who can commit to buying. Works perfectly. I have used it no more than a dozen times. It w...

Hotpress vacuum laminator HGP220

Hot Press heated vacuum press. Very good condition, hardly used. Complete with vacuum pump and quite a few consumables including some spare silicone barrier sheets. Gets to full vacuum quickly which is a sign the seals are good. I think I may have the manual and DVD, but will need to have dig for th...
