printers capable of printing onto mount board

I typed this question into google and it came up with a previous discussion on here dating back to around 2010 so some of the links and printers mentioned are no longer available. I've been trying to print onto mount board or some time and have had success but using a very strange process that would...

Re: frametek econospace

Thank you very much for those replies, I'm glad I asked this question on here as have just watched the youtube video regarding sticking mountboard to foamboard and this is ideal. My question being a newbie is where to get the best foam board and mountboard. Is the standard to use 3mm foam board? I'd...

frametek econospace

I'm new to framing and want to use the econspace in existing frames so as to create a small amount of depth between glass and artwork. On the Lions website I like the look of the ES-125 but what I don't understand is the dimensions. It states 3mm so assume this is the thickness. What is the actual d...

can anyone help with supplying a deep frame like this?

I'm looking for quite a contemporary white frame as per picture but it needs to be relativelty deep for a sculpture. I'm not sure if it's wood or something else used. I recently purchased a frame sample online thinking it might be the same but the internal rebate was a plain unpainted wood and I don...

paper/card prints for deep box framed backing board

I have recently posted with regards to using 3D deep box frames for some of my small scuptures. I am wanting to put a background print onto the backing board behind the sculpture. I have a reasonably good inkjet printer and wondered if there was suitable paper or printable card on the market that ke...

positioning a sculpture in 3D deep box frame

I am placing a solid foamed round shaped scuplure into a deep frame. The depth of the 3D boxed area is approx 90mm and the depth of my item is approx 70mm so i wanted a distance of approx 10mm between the back of the scupture to the backboard and 10mm between the glass and front of scupture so it ap...

Re: econoframes

yes I would like to convert exisiting frames I have into box frames. I bought a bulk quantity of frames a year ago that have the right depth to them in order to convert them into a box frame. I am not a framer by any means as I have said in previous posts on this forum, but it does not appear overly...

Re: econoframes

thanks for your reply. Sorry, yes I meant econospace to make box frames. Becuase I'm new to framing and more into actually designing what goes into them I don't really want to buy a bulk lot and also Lions only sell Min of £30.00 + VAT ontop & delivery so I really can't see myself ordering anyth...

Hi, Are there any online stores that sell econoframes by the meter? I would like to buy a couple of meters to test these out with some frames I have as I am rather new to framing and wanted to make my own box frames and I'm not sure if the econoframes will be suitable or If I'm buying the right size...

Re: fixings for wall signs

thanks for yur help guys... @ prospero, these signs are probably slightly bigger than the norm. There are only smaller variations under this size but I wouln't say they are small at all. They are for the indoor type wall quotes for around the house. I think any bigger and they wouldn't look right on...

fixings for wall signs

I have some great wooden wall signs, mostly measuring 25cm x 8cm. The problem is these signs are only 3mm thick, and I'm having trouble finding ways of hanging them as they do not come with any wall fixings or hangers. I do not come from a framing background so unsure of what is most suitable and so...

Re: where to purchase small deep box frames

I've only recently been back to view my original post and just seen a fair few replies. With regards to what I had said, firstly you dont know what i use these for and you don't know my profit margin, so when I mentioned back up supplier that is not asking someone to make these for me as it would be...

where to purchase small deep box frames

I have currently been purchasing small box frames from Debenhams. They measure 3.5" x 3.5" from outer edge to edge, but the actual inner aperture is 2.5" x 2.5" intended to fit a 3"x3" photo. They are very small and I simply cannot find any manufacturers or suppliers ap...

ways to hang a wooden plaque

I have an irregular shaped plaque design that is 6mm thick and wondered what quick and easy ways there were of hanging it on a wall. The shape is like that of an upper body design with neck at top and waist at bottom. It is made of wood birch so is very light.

Any help much appreicated.

permenant mount and glass in photo frame

I'm trying to organise a bespoke frame with a picture design on the actual mount area around the photo area...Is there a way of making the glass/mount permenant ie with a glue or some clips, so only the back board is removable to place the picture into the frame.
