Do you use any special procedures when you use your roller blind? Any other things to consider when using your method?

There is a textile framing course at the end of the month at the FATG office in London. [http://www.fineart.co.uk/training-and-courses.aspx]. I don't know whether there are any places left.

It's probably worth trying to go along to an exhibition such as the Art and Framing Roadshow (starts April 2017) where they will have demos etc and you can talk to the experts.

It's probably easier to make one yourself using MDF, some covering and velcro. That way you can customise it to your wall space available etc. Lion Pictures also do parts to help the DIY solution.

I looking at updating my Morso F guillotine. Can anyone suggest, please, where I can obtain a long measure beam (metric), sliding stop and sliding stop block at a reasonable price?

Underpinner spares https://www.underpinner-spares.co.uk/co ... ns/morso-f are normally a good supplier of Morso parts but currently their website indicates 'sold out'. Other main suppliers e.g. Lion and Wessex, should be able to order parts but be aware they could be expensive.

Did you ascertain the environment that the frames were being displayed?

I have acquired 2 oil paintings that look as though the backs need some TLC. Please see attachment. The canvases are held in place with nails and nailed to the frame. Should I leave these as they are or should I replace the nails with spring clips or canvas offsets? Would this devalue the paintings ...

Not having to manage the turning handle means that you have both hands free to manage the materials and less chance of making a mistake (which obviously costs in time and money).

Don't they normally say on progammes such as the Antiques Roadshow not to use plate hangers (because of the potential damage they may do)?

Likewise, I had a similar excellent service.

I've had several occasions over the last 6 months to contact Keencut Support to do with spare parts and manuals etc. On every occasion they have responded promptly and in a very professional manner. It's great to get such service.

Have you tried contacting the artist/framer and asking them?

I attended the FATG Mount Decoration course today. Mal Reynolds was the presenter/tutor. I thought it was first rate. Everyone attending went away with confidence of being able to master this skill with further practice and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well done Mal
