Re: Cutting Narrow Slivers/Strips of Glass

Ok , I'll concede that one, posh glass offcuts are made to fit..........still dont nibble though, I refuse to put a bit of glass in a frame with chewed edges, as you said, I'd rather lose a few mm off a mount 8)

Re: Cutting Narrow Slivers/Strips of Glass

Not really sure why people are needing these pliers so much, I must cut an average of 35 bits of glass a week, often quite a bit more and if I get one that needs trimmed/nibbled a month I'd be lying, more like 5 or 6 times a year

Re: Cutting Narrow Slivers/Strips of Glass

Normal pliers here too, I do have the proper ones but they lie in a box along with a lot of other fairly useless stuff. I use normal pliers quite a lot so it's a tool that is kept close by. If you get a proper even score the glass should come away as normal.......agree with the above comment about n...

Re: Multi-aperture double mount help please

Exactly as above, cut the ten undercounts as singles, then measure all your apertures on the mounts(in case you get one or two slightly out), then draw out your 10 aperture single top mount

Re: Morso misery....

Where are you? To get you out of a hole this week you could go to someone else nearby(ish) if you can find someone. Would be a good time to examine a working morso too. If you are close enough to Glasgow I could possibly help, but I get the feeling you are quite far up......and I'm away a few days t...

Re: Morso Height Adjustment

Yes , if you look over the top of the cutting head you'll see a fixed rod going down to the pedal mechanism, it's got a bolt either side, loosen the top one and then ajust the bottom one, then re tighten the top one :D

An old pocket watch that had to be hinged so it could be wound, a sporran, snake skin 9ft long. Couple of shovels of sand off a certain beach, driftwood from same place.
