Re: Would Melinex be suitable for these?
Hi Robo,
How about if i cut a circular mount for the lacework do you think that would work?
Also would the 75 micron be sufficient - or could i even get away with 50 micron?
Regards,
Graham

Re: ...there must be an easier way - Ultimat Gold 48
When i bought my UG earlier this year it came with 6 stick on feet and although the manual shows sticking just 4 feet on when you think about it it's a long machine and will sag in the middle. i have therefore added the two extra feet at the halfway point.

Re: To pin or not to pin
Hi Kirsty,
In my early days i used the Logan Studio Joiner to great effect and at under £100 not bad for an underpinner. I believe it still comes with a bag of assorted size V nails.

Graham

Re: Source for large cut-to-size 2mm thick acrylic/styrene
Hi Tim,
probably not a lot of help as a long way away but i recently had a piece cut to size at 2200mm x 600mm x 3mm from Alluminium and Wood Frame Supplies in London E18 1BY although not cheap at £140.

Hi Digby,
Have you completed this?
I've just framed a horizontal scroll which ended up about 2200mm long.

Hi,
Probably too late but just got back from holiday and saw your posting. I've just framed a chines scroll which was 2100mm x 600mm and used the z bars from Lion's which worked really well.

Re: cheap source of old canvases
Hi,
I was thinking of old paintings but appreciate the idea of using blank canvas. what did you mean by "stretch a load slightly above standard sizes"?
All ideas/suggestions very much appreciated.

Graham
