Re: How to mitre aluminium wrapped wood moulding
I know lots of framers struggle with it, but we have been using aluminium wrap (mostly Mainline 200-0065) without problems for years, perhaps we have been lucky in our choice of profiles.

Re: Ltd Ed Print mounting advice please!
... for mounted prints in our browser http://www.arqadia.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?id=127&itemno=999120000 It is not far off the price of the Mainline budget board you mention so I might run with this. The only question I had in my mind is that this is a very flat finish and I wondered if ...

Re: Ltd Ed Print mounting advice please!
I use one of the Mainline basic boards that are stated as conservation level for my backing board. It's much cheaper at £2.30 a sheet, I then use Arqadia for my main board for the mounts. I have tried the roller blind method and it ...

Moulding ID
Evening all - anyone have any idea on what moulding this is and where it's from? The rebate is 30mm.
We want to use it for some army medals... It's not Arqadia, Simons, Mainline or Lion....
Cheers all who get back!

Re: Using Polcore mouldings / tricky?
We use tons of Polcore moulding on all sorts of jobs from 5x7 pictures of kids to football shirts and manage to join it using the mainline super glue and prefer to use a 10mm wedge where on wood a 12mm wedge would be better. As has been said keeping the wedges well away from the outer edges ...

Simons moulding prices on spreadsheet
... spreadsheet? I am considering using more of the D J Simons mouldings but I use my own pricing spreadsheet that looks up the prices of Wessex and Mainline mouldings from other spreadsheets. Simons have supplied me with the prices in a PDF file which I am discovering is too long winded to get into ...

Re: Great service from Mainline Mouldings
A bottle of Champagne from one supplier - but it did cost me an EH Morso, underpinned, Hotpress and an Excaliber in addition to the usual spend!!
Even without the bottle it is now a joy it is to make frames

I had no lion bar in my last delivery - I put it down to the fact that I had 2 boxes of mount board and it would have been squashed in the box if it had been packed with the board!

Re: Great service from Mainline Mouldings
Thanks Vince. Our warehouse lads have been working overtime to speed things up and I have to say Tuffnells have been much better this year than in the past, 99% of orders have been delivered on time during December. They've only lost one parcel so far, so if anyone has a box of POL4445 they didn't o...

Drop them an email at info@haveitframed.co.uk or give them a bell on 0131 343 6264 or 0845 388 6943
hope you get it sorted
