Hi Keith, Thanks for the welcome the other day. It's nice to see you on here too. I see "retirement" hasn't killed your enthusiasm for travel. Dear old Nona "Joe" Powers is a great educator, I've sat in on a few of her talks in the US. Maybe we should go - put it on the old "...

If you have a heated vacuum press you can "steam iron" the watercolour paper - but I'm sure you know all about that...
Fast & it works too...
Then simply hinge to your mount etc etc...

Hi Merlin & Welsh Framer, As I said to Roboframer - it might be inappropriate for me to make any public comment directly about Artcare Restore. Think about it - Imagine if Martin Harrold from Lion started giving his opinions in the "Simons" thread. I for one would not be impressed. How...

Hi Mike - I thought I'd jumped on the wrong site when I saw "WELSH FARMER" - surely the picture should be of a sheep not a sheepdog!"£$%&*? Thank you for the encouragment & thanks for the praise for the "FREE" schools. I am really enjoying dishing out a bit of advice...

Hey Martin - Nice to see you too. Love the Kaptain Kopter bit - does everyone know your an ex RAF photographer - or have I just given a military secret away (whoops). Having sold both machines during my long & somewhat "chequered" career I can say that they both have a special place in...

Hi Eddie - This may be a little late - but Lemon_Drop is right about the link to raw material costing sheets. By the way Lemon_Drop those 2006 prices were still current from 2006 on 10th Jan 2008 - there was an increase in Feb though & the website has been updated accordingly. For Reference the ...

Hey John - I think I better keep my experiences with Artcare Restore "off the air" so to speak... I know the product well from my time working in the States & from an educational tour I did in Austrailia a couple of years back. Maybe I should drop you a private message...

Hey John & Mogs - one more before bed time... I used to use PMA many years ago for my photographic work & it was OK - it actually likes "plasticy" surfaces better than "papery" ones. Papery surfaces have the effect of "drying the glue out" over long periods wher...

Thanks for that John - I wouldn't dream of coming here in "disguise". With well over twenty years experience in "sticking" things down I just thought a bit of "free expert advice" might be useful & I look forward to "chipping in" on a regular basis.

The problem is the greyboard - unlined & softcored boards pick up & give off so much moisture that bowing is a virtual certainty. Only use it for "cheap" or "short term" jobs. Check the moisture trap on your 260 or around the edge of the diaphragm - I bet you will find wa...

Hey Chevron - You certainly are new to this... For info - tissue only sticks "flat things to flat things" - prints to boards etc... So forget tissue for this application. Secondly forget Fusion 4000 too - it "bonds as it cools" rather than as it gets hot - so it is likely to peel...
