Re: Fitting out a workshop - help advice needed

I work from a large double garage. Basically, I have a central/island work bench approx. 8' x 8' covered in carpet underlay and when it wears out I will replace with Flotex as recommended . I can work from all four sides of the bench. My kit is laid out in order of the framing process. Morso, under ...

Hi Steve :D

Before you ditch BT Broadband consider your options.

I have never been a fan of BT but the latest updated deal I have from them with a new router is working out well.

Re: Super Jumbo Mountboard

"Who can cut apertures in something this big?!" The guide rail of my mountcutter lifts off. As Steve said you need a "large bench" I place the guide rail on the pencil line, cut 2/3 ft, keep the blade in the cut, slide the guide rail through the handle holding the blade and...

Re: Anyone still use one of these ??

That's a blast from the past.

I used one those all the time in the past. If I recall correctly, they were prone to problems, with triangles often spraying far and wide.

IMOH I think the guns most used today a far superior and much nicer colours :D

Hello Richard :D and welcome to the FF

I agree with Prospero on both counts.

If you require the name/location of a reliable company to sharpen your blades please get in touch. I am not to far from you if you are passing, pop in.

One of the best presents I received was from one of my daughters partner. He has included me in his Netflix package. He has shown me how to bring up and view films on my TV :D So far, I have watched "The Irishman" twice :D What a film. The only problem is, I can't remember how to exit Netf...

Hello, and welcome to the FF :D The comment "I couldn't get rid if it fast enough" came from me. Changing the block for different size wedges and getting the machine calibrated to drive the wedges home correctly I found a PITA. Perhaps it was because I have been spoilt in the past with a p...

Re: newbie advise needed - canvas framing

Good point Justin. If it were me I would supply two picture hooks for hanging and suggest they are spaced apart and perhaps small bumpers for the two bottom corners of the stretcher. Very small points that do not distract in anyway from a very nice framing job  Have a great Christmas. Peter.
