I would agree completely with the hobby/professional definitions. I would call myself a hobbyist at the moment because I am still in the learning stages and I'm not even going to touch any of my families/friends items until I feel I can do them justice and not going to damage them. But being a hobby...

Hi Johnny I'm the same as you. I'm looking at starting off as a hobby and hopefully when I feel confortable with what I'm doing getting more serious. I'm currently booked on a course in Warwick on Monday from a company called FrameCo http://www.clubframeco.com/ . Another company who I know does cour...

On average we stop around 100 advance money transfer scam emails a week. They are known as 419's because this is the section of law in Nigeria which relates to fraud. It sucks about the debit card transactions Grahame. I have taken a credit card from Cahoot. As far as I know they are the only bank t...

I checked out the EULA of vista and you will only be able to transfer the license once. If you add ram or do another upgrade to the computer you will need to get it reactivated. Sections 15 and 16 are new and they detail this. One blog which explains it well is http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=156 and...

One thing I would suggest would be to only upgrade now if you really need to. XP is still going to be supported by Microsoft for another 3 - 4 years so unless you have that killer application which will not work on XP then hang fire. Personally I'll probably upgrade once the first full service pack ...

Cheers John. I'd certainly help with IT stuff where I can. I was a little shocked to see how many people use no wireless security and have little in terms of backups etc. I'm looking around for training and have found 2 places which do some courses in the Midlands. Has anyone heard of DIYFraming and...

Just want to say hi!
Hi! I've been lurking here for a few weeks now and have got up the courage to register and say hello. I'm just starting off in framing and am going to start it as a hobby and hopefully heading into something more. At the moment I'm a IT manager and its an industry I just want to get out of. If I get...
