Does anyone here have an oversized CMC? ie one capable of cutting 981 x 1328 mounts? I need several of these for a rush order, and I can only do up to 1220mm !

If you can, then please PM me, or drop a note here and I'll call you

Need 11 of the above in Arqadia 8698 Glacier

Cheers

I think I might go into business supplying this stuff. Thanks all for your help - have now sourced some 3mm acrylic cut to size at a decent price!

Cheers

I fail to see how you can possibly get any work done with a workshop in such complete and utter disarray :giggle:

If mine was ever that tidy I'd assume someone had taken over........

Re: Workshop heating - wood burner?

Warm is Expensive . End of. :? Lot of reports of firewood poaching in the forestry hereabouts. When have you ever heard of that before? Sorry for the quote, but I've been busy framing this week, and only just (Friday night) got to play catchup. A few years ago, when I was responsible for try...

Re: Music Licence

I've just checked the PPL website, and it's nigh on impossible to find out in advance (without actually APPLYING for a licence) how much it's going to cost. I'll wait until they come knocking. Then I'll start a fight........quietly.... People who are so deliberate about avoiding publication of their...

Re: Computer keyboard sizes

Short answer - No there isn't Long(er) answer - dependant on the functionality you want from the keyboard, they tend to fall into various standard shapes, if not sizes. You can also buy something like this which has a touchpad mouse built in (I find them easier to use than a trackball - less dust pr...

'Earthing' Large acrylic sheets

What do people use in order to de-ionise large (A0) sheets of acrylic? I need to send some frames to Australia, but cleaning the large sheets is almost impossible without finding a way to remove the static charge from the acrylic once the protective film has been taken off. Has anyone tried an earth...

But interestingly, that's exactly what Tesco, and every other supermarket does. They don't pay for anything until they've already sold it!

Re: Assisting local artists

I've done this in the past, but I took payment in artwork (and photographs). I found out how much the artists work went for in exhibitions, say £300. I reduced that by the price I'd CHARGE for a frame (say £100), leaving a retail of £200 for the artwork. Divide that in two, since I'm offering to 'bu...

I'm looking right now at a very similar frame, which was just finished with liming wax. Looks great, and always attracts positive comments when customers come into the office.
