Re: Mainline All size stretcher Bars
A bit expensive for a 'budget' job, 2 way is far cheaper. Though it doesn't enable you to tension the canvas, that is usually not required on a 'budget' job.

Re: Mainline All size stretcher Bars
... not to deform too much as the blade goes though. On smaller ones you could always use a sacrificial bit of plywood in the slot when cutting. The mainline system is a bit more sophisticated with slots at the back. Never tried them. I find the Wessex ones work fine to a point. One issue is that ...

... enter the slot in the bar to prevent damage. The morso in the video seems to have a rebate support without the spud under the adjustable support. Mainline say the video was produced by the stretcher bar manufacturer and not their equipment. I ordered a pack on the strength of the video. Has anyone ...

... process which apart from wasted time is easily sorted (hopefully). The problem with being in N Ireland is we're limited on options. I'm sure mainline etc are excellent but I've been quoted around £70 pet sharpen :( - the carriage is a killer. Anyway, I'll update this next week & thanks ...

Trying to match a moulding
... on checking today it’s discontinued. Im struggling to find anything with a similar profile and finish. Any ideas? I have looked at Lion, Wessex, Mainline and Holroyds. Was also wondering if that finish is something that could be done by a hand finishing newby like myself, I’ve only done stains ...
