Jim mentioned in an earlier post he is going to check how much shipping is for a box. If we order together we could split the shipping costs to the UK. Then it would be UK post charges to receive the books from who ever the shipment was sent to.

The books certainly look interesting. I'd be interested in them also.

If you need someone to pop to Brum to collect, I'm the nearest so I can grab them and post them if required.

EEK.. Competition..... Hi House, I'm in Cov. It seems as though they are the more fortunate ones and have managed to get out while the going was good. Mind you, they have a few years on me so I'll be out when I get to their ages. Where are House frames? I've not seen them.

I suppose this can be the only good side to working in IT. My company car has maintenance included and it only costs between £150 - £160 in tax each month. :P

Boy, I'm gonna miss that when I finally have the balls to quit and start on my own.... :(

So, where are the pics of them both? :D

My wife would have mixed emotions about that skull. She loves horrors, but she also loves cats (for some ungodly reason).

Warbishop I'm mostly a lurker here but I would like to comment. When new people come to the forums they are normally treated fairly and openly. I would expect them to be open also. When asked, you were not willing to say what sort of 'special' photography you did stating competition. Yet you still e...

John, 4:45am... either your an early riser or pulling an all nighter... Moglet, I think I'd agree with your assessment. Now that the fun is over the thread would be better removed. Of course, we could also use in on the front page as a warning to others. Maybe have its own icon of a head on ...

Well, thats an interesting read.

I'm amused that warbishop wouldn't reveal what type of photography/printing he does due to competition and then expect framers to reveal all and take trade away from other framers.

I love the blues and swing. Jools Holland is one of my favourites and I've seen him so many times. After the first time I saw the big band I started playing the Sax. The old Glen Miller band tunes and the other big band sounds are fantastic to listen to. One of the best musicians I've seen on his sh...

As someone who is trying to get going, but on a limited budget I would suggest you to avoid the kits. The best things to go for would be second hand equipment. A Cassese underpinner costs around £300 - £400 A Morso could cost around £600 - £700 And if you wanted a board cutter (such as a Keencut) ar...

Avast is another good AV solution.

One thing to remember though is that free software is normally only free if you are using it for personal use and not in a business.

Avast is updated daily and if you do want to buy it I don't think it is that expensive.

My wife woke me just as it started and our wardrobe doors where rattling a lot. It is the third one I've felt in the Midlands in the last 15ish years.

Not bad going I think. Just last year there was a tornado just 20 miles away in Birmingham. Around here we called it a natural improvement.

To be honest if its just used for Estlite I don't think it would matter providing you can get a decent signal out front from the wireless card. You wireless connection would still get a 2meg link in the worst case and I doubt you would notice the difference. As you've said, the bottleneck would be t...
