Re: Mainline - Live Stock status on Estlite! BRILLIANT!

A related request would be to add measurements to your catalogue (you might think this adds clutter to the full size pics), and to standardise l,w and rebate depth info across all mouldings on the website. Please.

Re: Mainline - Live Stock status on Estlite! BRILLIANT!

Hi Grahame

I'm glad you like it. Our web guy and John have been working on it for a while.

We are working on a few new features on our website, please let us know if there are any other web functions that would be of use.

Well done Mainline. The ability to have live stock levels makes such a difference. I wish other suppliers would follow your example.

... to put 4 lengths on an over night. Worse still I would have Simmons mouldings, Larson Juhl (back in the day when you had a larson rep), Arqadia, Mainline and Renaisance mouldings, so I would end up with a lot of small orders below carriage paid. I found that it wasn't a cost effective way of ...

Oops - it's not in the latest catalogue and there's nothing like it in that size - nor in the Arqadia, Nielsen, Mainline or Wessex catalogues - similar profiles but without the ornamentation/beading.

Here's the moulding - I'd post a picture but I can't get it to copy from Mainline's website.

Re: underpinning a mould with a groove/bevel

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY

Ref is POL 4222 - Mainline polycore mould. Underpinner is cassesse. It is an 8mm wedge. I am using glue. When I push the underpinner pedal down to drive the wedge through the two pieces of mould part from each other.

Any tips greatfully received. no photos available yet.

Re: Wessex Samples

Personally, I would not pay for samples on principle. Don't they want you to sell their range?

Arqadia have just supplied me with a full set of mountcard chevrons f.o.c. Arqadia, frinton, mainline and radius mouldings all supply me with free 1 foot samples f.o.c.

Re: Checking suppliers stock on line

I can vouch for the Arqadia system, works very well- and if you order on-line carriage paid order is only £95.00.
I'm not a customer of Mainline but there system sounds very good as well - must be the way forward!

This may be shameless plugging or just interesting info ;-)

If any mouldings in your favourites section go 'low stock' or 'out of stock' you will receive an email notification and you will also be notified when it comes back into stock.

Re: Checking suppliers stock on line

Mainline Mouldings do. Once you log in with a password you can see how many metres they have in stock of any moulding and if a particular moulding is out of stock then an expected delivery date for them to receive it is usually shown.

Re: New framer desperate for advice!

If you're just starting out has it got to be wood? With the gear you've got you can get perfect results in Polymer (Mainline Mouldings). Superglue the corners together first then underpin the completed frame a few minutes later. I'm in Herts, you're welcome to pick up some free (shortish) ...
