Re: oddly shaped frame - glazing ideas please

Thanks all for the suggestions. I don't have a jigsaw or any of the other suggested tools, but my dad does so I'll see if he can sort me out. Cheers :)

oddly shaped frame - glazing ideas please

I'm looking for some advice on how i could, potentially, glaze a very large and oddly shaped frame. The frame would be to house three prints, all 3'x2' and attached to each other to make a 6' wide print. The tricky part comes is that the prints are designed to be stepped up from each other. I will t...

Morso blades - where to buy?

Need to buy some new blades, does anyone know where the cheapest place to get a set is?
Alternatively, does anyone have some nearly new blades they're looking to sell?
Ta :)

Missing part: Logan

Friend of mine who is an enthusiastic hobby framer has asked me to look into this for him. He's recently purchased a Logan : Pro-Studio Joiner F300-2 with a part missing (circled in photo). Anyone know of a UK based supplier for a replacement ? Thanks

Great item. Would definitely be interested but sunny Suffolk is a long way from damp Lancashire!

Display easel

Can anyone recommend a supplier for large display easels? I bought a lovely metal one from Lion (product 6022) which is about 40" tall but it doesn't come any larger. I want about 3 larger ones, preferably metal but nice wooden would do. Thanks.

WANTED: print stands/browsers

I'm moving soon and could do with another couple of print browsers to go in my new digs. Thought I'd see if anyone on here had anything for sale before trawling eBay or buying new. I'm located in Lancaster but willing to travel a reasonable distance or pay shipping costs. Thanks.

Building and contents insurance

Hi all. I'm in the process of leaving me two rented premises and buying a shop. I need to have building insurance in place for my mortgage. I've never looked into this before for a commercial property. Anyone out there have any recommendations for affordable cover for my shop, all my stuff within it...

Re: Me old China!

I had one in like this a year or so back. It was already framed brilliantly by a very posh London gallery in a double sided frame. It even had an ancient piece of Chinese wood for the garment to hang from. Looked a million dollars and the client wanted me to re-frame it so it was about six inches sm...

Card terminals - who is best/cheapest?

Has anyone got a recommendation for a reasonably priced card terminal provider. I've been with Worldpay and have been unimpressed with both the service and pricing. I'm a one man operation with a fairly low turnover, but obviously still want to provide a proper receipt and don't want a PayPal style ...

Re: Buying a business premises/applying for commercial mortg

Thanks for the input and sound advice. I'm not expecting to be able to get the funds, I will follow up any and all possible sources. Though perhaps not one man who I'm told operates a local business with a sideline on loans so long as you're happy to have your kids or legs as security! The property ...

Buying a business premises/applying for commercial mortgage

Hello all Does anyone know about commercial mortgages. I'm tentatively looking at a shop that has come up for sale but I've absolutely no clue if I could meet the criteria for a lender. I've a friendly local mortgage advisor (currently on holiday) but I'm wondering if any of you have recent experien...

Re: Wedding Dress

Ricky - how have you been getting on, have the customers given the go ahead? Mine came back today to take a look at the samples they had requested. I think the price I have quoted is going to put them off from having the job done. They told me that another local framed had quoted £300 for the whole ...

Re: Wedding Dress

Featurepiece's notion of a cabinet sounds like a definite possibility. I'm actually a bit naff at general woodworking, but i know a man who can...be bribed...with a few bottles of beer and photos of his granddaughter. Plus if the cost of me 'hiring' a professional joiner doesn't put the customer off...
