Re: Ideas for framing a rally plate...

Here's my finished effort. The customer was chuffed with the result. I think the chequered fabric would have set it off nicely peeking out from the back, but there was a tight deadline unfortunately. I'll maybe buy some to have ready. I used the registration screw caps which I think looks better tha...

Re: last cut....help

Here's my input for what it's worth. I was getting quite bad chunks coming off. I spent a while having a good look at what was happening and my conclusions are that some were worse than others. There was also a bit of a problem with a slight gap between the blade and the base (someone else mentioned...

As no-one seems to have a spare, I'll probably just chuck this one.
Does anyone want it for spares?

Re: Ideas for framing a rally plate...

That's a great idea Newie, but I couldn't find any chequered fabric today, so I think I'll need to do without this time.

Re: Examples of a new frame improving things

Cheers Rolf, as always the picture doesn't really do it justice, but you get the idea.
The moulding was one I inherited although I do know the previous framer mainly bought from Arqadia so you may well be right.

Hi Rolf, not sure if it's too late but I have this before / after set of pics that I did for the website. I can give you better quality if required. Re: Using GIMP to fix photographs

Thanks Jonny. I use Linux so I can't buy Photoshop even if I wanted to.
Cheers stcstc, there is a lens distortion option in GIMP so it was the phrase that I needed.
I'll play about with it and see how I get on.
Anyone got any tips for using it?
Cheers

Using GIMP to fix photographs

I've seen a few people mentioning that bendy frames, not rectangular etc can be sorted on GIMP but I haven't seen any instructions.
I've had a play about with the crop and perspective tools but it looks a lot worse.
Any step by step help would be appreciated.

Part needed for FIX2000 Pneumatic Duetto

From my research it looks as though this company has gone bust. I'm needing the striker?? (the little metal bit that fires the points out of the gun) as it has snapped off.
Anyone have an old or broken gun lying about or a spare one of these things?
Cheers
