They had biro (measuring) marks on them, they had been cut by hand, the joints were so loose the bars fell apart when you lifted them, I could go on. From a so called quality company. But hence...

I think that could be an option if the guy will accept that, with the CMC I could get it down to a fraction on the overlap back and front, and the foamcore would holit pretty steady.

Hi I see what you mean an would be ok, but they have to be viewed from the back, so I can only cut mounts to suite the thinnest coin, if I go to the thickest coin the thinner ones will be lost below the top of the mount as they all have to be flat to the back.

( I hope I've explained that OK )

Hi Mike thanks for youe reply, the problem is the coins are all different in thickness, so the fixing will have to be on each coin somehow.

I have a customer with 11 coins/medals all circular some thicker than others and need to be viewed from both sides, I have no problem cutting circles for them in a mount but how is the best way to fix them with conservation in mind.
