Re: New website frinton frames
Nice website, good info and easy navigation.
Only one small issue, and that would be the resolution on the "Showroom Virtual Tour" - bad pixelation in full screen.

Re: AR glass?
Hi,
I would suggest using TruVue UltraVue.
Glass is almost invisible - UV blocking is higher than standard glass @ approx 70%
Would not be considered as a conservation product (if that is whats required) - Next step up is to museum Glass

Re: Oak Canvas Tray.
Don't know it either of these is good for you.
One is an oak veneer, and the other Ash.
I find oak and ash can be very similar.

I find the Mono range from Lion cut well on my Morso.
Finish is thin with no chipping.
Range is black or white with small and tall profiles.

Re: Tru Vue glass
If you have a piece without any writing there is a way to check. With a new, sharp blade scrape a corner of the glass. If its the outside it wil just slide. If its the inside it will scrape off some of the coating. Also, when cutting score the outside/non coated side. You will notice that the coated...

Re: Cutting Inlay Moulding
Hi Rolf I work out what the outside size of the frame should be, and set my rebate adjustment arm on the morso to zero ( 0 ) I use a callipers to work out the thickness of the stickey up bit So image size + sticky up bit (5mm in your photo) x 2 + 3mm gap. So for a drymounted and Laminated image size...

Re: MOMENT OF PANIC!
Thanks for your observations Robo Was just trying to help with a solution we used in the past, obviously not suitable for all framers to use. I used this method to frame a large propellor from a racing boat for a client. The client organised the fitting of the propellor to the wall after I came up w...

Re: MOMENT OF PANIC!
My recommendation would be to fix the crowbar directly to the wall.
Then make a box frame with glass, no mount, no backing.
Place the frame over the crowbar and fit frame to wall using mirrorplates or similar.
The part of the wall covered by the frame can be painted a colour to suit.

Re: A conservation question
Hi, Just to clarify that colourmounts "standard cream core" boards are the 800 series and not the 300 series. The 300 Series is split into two - Conservation White Core and - Standard White Core (the ones whose face paper does not pass the bleed test) My reading of this is the only differe...
