wood warps for a variety of reasons, as you said it may be due to a change of temperature/ humidity if made in a cold damp environment then displayed in a dry environment then warping may occur the type of wood can affect the warping some woods warp more than others,cant think of any other reasons h...

although I'm not very experienced in picture framing I know from working with oak , it moves.I remember woodturning even when it was thought to be dry it would move out of shape after turned. if it was green wood it would often end up an oval shape.some woods are unstable when worked. there is proba...
