I have seen the chop service but as I've already bought a pile of moulding from a visit to Mainline it would seem a shame for it to go to waste... in at the deep end I say. ... :lol: Is there any reason why I may not use wedges designated as for 'hardwood', in soft timbers, (ramin, obeche etc )?? So far as I can see - Mainline do Cassese AL 'hardwood' wedges at £3 per 8k box cheaper than their Cassese UNI 'softwood' wedges. ( the red box as opposed to the white box )

Who would you say has the best range of unfinised mouldings? I'm not getting much inspiration from Mainline and Wessex. Rose and Hollis are the market leaders in unfinished mouldings but they are a fairly low key supplier with no website to browse. Their unfinished moulding ...

... close but as I only need 2 meters or so I don’t really want to place such a small order and stump up for the £10 delivery charge, I've checked Mainline, Wessex and Arqadia to no avail. Remember if you are coming to the FATG meeting at Mainline Mouldings to bring your blades with you and get them returned post free i.e. you only pay for the sharpening.

We are very lucky as we have Arquadia a mile away but we also use Mainline, Simons, and Lions. It sure is good to build a relationship with more than one supplier. We get great service from all of them. All but one have very good and easy websites to use ...

Make sure when you have them sharpened that you send them to a reputable company who is used to sharpening morso blades and that they are hollow ground. Lion and mainline do a sharpening service.
